Sofa covers are made for a reason. Love seat covers as well…the right tool for the job goes a long way. Pro movers know not to shrink leather. I know some who do but why waste material? Carry sofa covers and plastic sofa covers. No lost equipment no wasted shrink.

Yea we just started shrink wrapping items and it's the best idea. It takes a while but our company takes pride in our service that we give now. Customers really get it to

Hi I was told to use the micro foam to wrap my leather furniture then the blankets since my furniture is going to be in storage for a while. Or is it okay for me to do it your way?
@andrewarsenault19063 жыл бұрын
Leather furniture should not be shrink wrapped. If it is pad wrapped it should be done much neater than this, and use rubber bands to hold the pads in place. These seem like nice, hard working guys but they have no technique and are very disorganized. Using shrink to tie off a hide-a-bed is an emergency measure only- it's surely going to leave a crease/mark on the front center. Use a space saver and a two inch wide strap or heavy duty zip ties. Use pads with the light side to the piece, dark side out, to keep the customers furniture clean. This is rookie stuff guys, get it together before you put this stuff on line where actual professionals can see it. Good Luck, Don't get hurt or sued. At least not on the same day!

More like it's going overseas and from the looks of it if it fell in the water it would still get there. Although I believe he may have used the resources (time and supplies) moee generously than he needed to that's his decision within the parameters set by his employer and the employer's client.

orrrrr maybe it's a long distance move and they charge by the weight? Maybe the company has time to take care of the furniture and mitigate damage and risk because the customer isn't on a time crunch? Perhaps she's got a TON of stuff!! Now we're talking! $$$$ :-)

i usually do a few rounds on top just to secure the pad than flip it up and wrap it standing up.. takes like 2 minutes I dont agree with the way he did literally each side

depends.. you don't know the situation, could be a lot of tight doorways, hallways, stairs will it'll need to be flipped to get through, or tight elevators. extra wrapping ensures safety of product, especially leather.. though his numerous side flips were unnecessary in my opinion. I would've just done a few on top to secure pads and get the sides, than flip it up and cocoon it. takes 2 minutes or so, usually.
