Is the cutout hole for a DI2 button ? These pro mechanics wrap so many bikes so often they do it very fast. Pretty good job for the speed involved. Some one should invent a tool to punch out a nice neat hole for electronic shifting buttons.

This is the figure 8 method, not very practical with thicker bar tape.

I am not impressed by this Tinkoff mechanic. He's in too much of a hurry, fails to attend to details, such as the cut-out cor the gear change switch, the end-stop, not having everything at hand before starting and the aesthetic appearance of the wrapping itself (as mentioned below). The worse thing is, the direction of wrapping #conflicts #with best practice (unless the rider himself 'wanted to be different'). My mother use to do a better job on my bike when I was a schoolboy!
