As a hebrew speaker . The most of the letters you did perfect . But some weren't , like dalet chaf sofit and tzadik. Because the dalet should be more curved , your dalet should be the tzadik . Chaf sofit should look like chaf but with a line which is connect to it and goes under the line .and also the letters should be more straight , also a bit turned to right is fine but usually it should be written straight . But thanks for the video 😁

For those wondering what “sofit” letters are, they are just the form of the letter if the letter is at the end of a word. There are 5 of those in Hebrew.

Your letterforms are recognizable, but they look more like a stylized font than normal handwriting or a teaching script (especially with the pronounced slant you put on the letters). It's also a little difficult to get the sense of the relative heights of the letters - lamed, pe sofit, and tsadi sofit all extend above the line, while kuf, nun sofit, and kaf sofit extend below the line.

0:27 this letter is like ( jeem ) in Arabic ( ج ) and this one 2:20 looks like ( mem ) in Arabic ( م ) , as Arabian , I can see that the names of the letters is similar to Arabic , like ( alep ) is ( alif ) in Arabic , but I can't understand the Hebrew writing it's different from Arabic , I think that Hebrew script is harder than Arabic.

It's cursive or running together only when each letter joins to make a word which forms a sentence. Need a sample of how letters join. Otherwise it's not cursive.

Yeah, its actually also like that in Arabic! And theres actually a pretty interesting story to why the letters look different in hebrew cursive than in type! So basically a long time ago the hebrew text was considered to be sacred (Alot of people still do consider it sacred). So a person created an alphabet which was similar enough to the hebrew alphabet to the point that it was easily readable for hebrew speakers, but it was also different enough to not be considered sacred. And so when jews where in the disphorea, the alphabet evolved thanks to contact with other languages and scripts. When hebrew was revived, they decided to use the cursive style of Ashkenazi or european jews, because at that time they were the majority of hebrew speakers, but there are still different cursive styles for hebrew, yet theyre not in use anymore.
@Abilliph
@Abilliph 2 жыл бұрын
actually... Many letters do look similar, but in the case of others it's still easy to understand how they got to the final shape... You just need to know the writing direction to understand it. I wish I could show it here. If you look at the English cursive you would also be surprised by the amount of letters that look nothing alike... a, b, d, e, g, h, l, q, and r, all look pretty different... So it should be expected.
