Alex Siemers I thought that Buzz got some kind of head trauma from when the TV fell on him in Toy Story 3. I mean, after he goes back to normal, for the rest of the movie, he's basically just acting like Buzz (having his personality and memories intact). But, I really doubt that something weighing two-to-five times more than Buzz falling on his head would have so little effect. I'm not trying to undermine victims of head trauma (because the victim here is a toy), but it would explain Buzz's sudden 180 in the depth department.

@@CheshireCat-cm1si I know this comment was 2 years ago but this exact comment has been stuck in my head for those very two years 24/7 and all I've wanted to say is this: Buzz, get this, is a toy. Crazy right? And since he's a toy he has no blood, bones, flesh, central nervous system and most importantly, no brain. Head trauma is caused by the head being so violently shaken that the brain effectively rams into your skull. But Buzz has neither a brain nor a skull. If we applied your thinking to Toy Story 2 then Woody would've surely died of blood loss because of his arm being cut off. But he didn't die. Neither of them did. Because... They're still TOYS.

Buzz might have been having trouble with his inner voice because of was such a short time between toy story 3 and 4, and in toy story 3, buzz got factory reset.

Molly is still alive in the movie. And in TS4 it talks about how much Bo meant to Molly. Therefore just because Molly didn't want her anymore i highly doubt she's forgotten about her. bo was also owned by another little girl who could also remember her

Ostensibly, all toys (including gabby, the other barbies, and the other buzz lightyears) are fabricated by their respective manufacturers with the intent of being specific toys.Therefore, they live in a pseudo-sentience where they are aware of themselves but do not have their own personalities. However, when a kid claims/makes a toy, and when a toy has the realization that they are a toy with a responsibility toward their kid, they then enter into real sentience where they know what they are and can begin to develop a personality of their own. With Gabby Gabby, we can also infer that the memories of the various kids in the shop and the owner can sustain her as well.

@@aaronleschke8988 I reckon a lot of Gabby Gabby's personality comes from the book she came with. That sort of "prim and proper" personality. Much like how Buzz's personality is entirely based around "I defend the galaxy from the Evil Emperor Zurg!" speech from his box, or how Reptillus Maximus's original personality is based on his stats from his instruction manual. =)

In that case, doesn't this theory perfectly explain why Buzz acts like he's a new toy again? Buzz doesn't understand his toy life again after that was seemingly over in TS1(?). But after being handed to a new kid, one who is lonely and has trouble talking to others, that could explain why Buzz is acting in such a way.

I don't think memories could bring toys to life, if there's toys who've never been owned coming to life. The Chicken and Bunny duo from the carnival have never been owned, Gabby was thrown away because she was defective so she has never had a kid... surely all of the toys in the Antiques shop are forgotten? New intro is awesome!

Since they were manufactured with the intention of being toys, I think it provides a bit of memory. They're conscious, but that's...about it. They're babies, blank slates, unknown seeds Then everything is shaped and formed by the humans that created proper memories. This is the reason that forky only comes to life after becoming a toy, but also why Gabby Gabby is still alive despite barely being played with

@@NunchuckOmega probably because that's exactly how it works. it may not require the WHOLE video to be watched, but if you reload the page quickly, the view count doesn't go up. i have tested it before on old videos that get very few views

In toy story 1, if buzz thinks he’s a real space ranger then why is it when ever Andy’s around or any human why does he freeze? Wouldn’t he try to talk. I don’t get that...

A.S.M Studios same with forky. When he still thinks he’s just trash he only talks and moves when Bonnie isn’t looking, but then when she turns back around he freezes. How does he know to do that? Lol

Hey scb, I thought of this while while watching toy story 4 and I think that there is a link with linguini, the chef from ratatouille, and rejon, the kid that was duke kabooms owner. The reasons why I think that they are either grandfather to grandson or vice-versa or,even, the same person are 1. They both have french links. Rejon is a french name and linguini lives in France and has french family. 2. Even with french links, they also have American links presumably. We don’t know if rejon is American but duke kaboom is an American toy and has an English speaking commercial. Linguini obviously speaks English 3. Their character designs are quite similar. Curly hair and a large nose. It might be because it’s cheaper to copy another character design but it’s not 100%. I’m starting to think that this is not true but I think it might be worth a shot delving deeper into this.

Honest feedback: really dislike the new intro. - the drawings are creepy - the music is less jolly than before - there's a weird pause at the end to show the second red logo afterwards Suggestions: - make the drawings less realistic - stick with the old theme music, it was great! - only use the two faces spliced, or the red logo, don't need both!

There’s something that’s always bothered me. Why can’t bullseye talk? He’s a horse which is an animal. Ham is a pig, Rex is a dinosaur. But why can’t bullseye talk like the rest?

Andy Guillen I think maybe it depends on how the toy is played with. For example whenever Andy played with Ham he used his imagination to give him an actual human like voice to portray the character “Evil Dr. Porkchop” whereas when bullseye was played with Andy made him just be a regular horse. I’m not sure though this is just a theory after all :)
