The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and the Wiyasiwewin Mikiwahp Native Law Centre of the University of Saskatchewan College of Law recently released a collection of short essays - titled UNDRIP Implementation: Braiding International, Domestic and Indigenous Laws - that discusses how international law, domestic constitutional law and Indigenous law can support full implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. In this video, the collection’s contributors provide an overview of how the relationship between Indigenous peoples and the Canadian government has changed since first contact. The effort to bring harmony to these diverse stands of law - international, domestic and Indigenous - amid reconciliation comes with both risk and opportunity.

@@laynegoldsmith3873 I only watch occasionally to see if they actually report on the stories that matter, they never do, however. I stopped watching t.v years ago and only go to independent sources for real news. Unfortunately I know many still go to mainstream media for news and that's why I watch them. Call them out when they are full of shit, since we are forced to pay for mainstream news thru our tax dollars, I feel its important to hold them accountable, so before you accuse someone of being asleep or out of the loop maybe get some facts first.

Extremely frustrating watching the demise of our people and country, due to deliberate misinformation from media and gov. Why people do not see thru the treasonous actions from our media and gov is beyond disturbing. Those asleep will remain asleep. They obviously do not care for the truth or future generations. That's on them.

We should have not recognized the UN's involvement in a declaration, but written our own - made in Canada declaration. Whereby nation hood and prosperity thereof takes precedent in circumstance of economical need, i.e. Trans Mountain Pipeline. Self determination would be better than Indian Affairs. Scrap the UN's and write our own, W.

Help me understand this. It seems that important questions are being skirted around. Does this create implications where by someone’s land may be expropriated? I see this as a way to usher in communism. Correct me if im wrong. Real-estate prices will fall once this is implemented. Again, im asking for clarity here.

Agenda 2030, you will own nothing and be happy while the tyrants will own everything. This is just a pretext to try to steal your life’s work while pretending to protect native rights and claims. They are the ones that are responsible for everything, they have been dictating to governments for decades. Once they take care of the European population the natives will be even worse off without any moral voice to support them. Who do you think has been running the governments if not the globalists imposing communism on the masses.

Indigenous people have no desire to rule people like china and north Korea, they are laid back people who don't care what other people do, they just want basic human rights, communist have walls with armed guards, no protest allowed, strict law and order, natives are opposite of that, if you've ever been around us you'd know we have live and let live attitude, no desire whatsoever to be authoritarian.

What UNDRIP has done which was ratified on June 21 2021 in Parliament is have Canadian jurisdiction treat the Native American Indian as nation to nation not citizen to state. Canadian civilization developed on unsurrendered land and that does not make the American Indian a Canadian citizen.
