This is really out of context. That Incident was is 2013 and there weren´t any Incidents before that, where Valve banned players. This year in March 3 DotA players also got Lifetime bans for matchfixing, as it should be.

And ibp was the first incident in csgo with no precedent and no rules, the foundation of the punishment is everyone knows matchfixing is bad so you will get punished.
