I don't understand why your channel doesn't have a much higher number of subscribers.. Your videos are top notch. People see the video, the great pictures and all that. But they don't all understand the work and equipment that such videos require, because only a genuine passion pushes you to the perfection that you two are looking for. I work as a photographer and painter. People see an indoor photo of and don't understand that behind that work ther's a €30,000 Sinar optical bench camera plus all the cinematic lighting fixtures... And even valid outdoor lenses costs a lot. These, for you, are also investments fore the future videos, so I think you deserve more subscribers and donations, above all for the passion you put into your videos and for the emotions they convey... I hope I'm not being offensive in your language, but here in Italy we would say that you are "a heritage to be safeguarded", that is, something that must be kept alive with the help and conscience of all, since it is a natural asset, in fact, in your videos, i also see a teaching towards respect and a greater understanding of nature... Or at least , that's how I see them. So, I'll see to support you on Patreon because you really deserve it! Talkin' bout fly fishing, I too often fish with the Orvis Helios 3f 9' wf5..It's a spectacular rod, I also have an 8' wf4 for lighter trouts.. Here in Italy, in the mountains to the south (Apennines), you can find smaller brown trouts, around 16-18 inches, also because the rivers do not exceed 50 km before arriving from the mountains to the sea, and often they suffer from summer droughts... instead in the northern mountains (Alps), you can find brown trouts up to 24-26 inches, like the one in my profile photo, and there, a wf5 stresses the fish less in my opinion... Then in the north, (more in the plains) we have lots of resurgences with pikes that are great fun to fly, and a wf5 helps to bring them up. (I specify that they are river pikes of about 25 inches, not lake pikes of more than a meter and a half!🤣🤣) Well, great work guys!!!! Respects from Bologna (Italy)

I was thinking "Wow... angling expertise on KZfaq!"... but that, since you think well together (to the point of finishing each others' sentences well), it'd be nice to see one of you try a dry first before the other - if "necessary" - resorts to a dropper rig... but then that's exactly what you did... and were properly excited by that result, even though the second fish didn't jump like it was a dern salmon! Good stuff.

Another beautifully shot and produced video; thank you for creating and sharing this. I felt that the cast to the first fish caught on this video was truly exceptional, especially if I understood correctly that it was with a dry/dropper rig. The second fish required some excellent water craft and casting also - very impressive as were the fish.

Not sure what state you are In but it looks lovely. Most streams where I live that are that tight make me grab a spinning rod and toss Jerkbaits and Spoons since there is so much overhang trees

I love watching you guys, thank you for sharing with us! I did notice something though with your wife’s cast. She seems to drop her tip down at the end of her cast a bit much. It looks like she’s losing a lot of power she had generated. Could just be the camera angle though!

“Don’t horse him this time babe”. This guy is such a rear end!! I feel sorry for this woman, it’s easy to see she’s scared to make a mistake while fishing because her husband will scold her. She would actually be more at ease and have way more fun fly fishing without this guy present!!! It’s hard for me to post this comment. They are excellent fly fishermen and they produce awesome videos but I’m done watching their videos because this guy is so judgmental of his wife in the videos. No matter if one is fly fishing in a tournament and or paying the bills from fly fishing, one should always try to have fun. It suppose to be fun and enjoyable. For this lady, that I feel for, she seems to have to walk on egg shells and not make mistakes while fishing or her husband will make mean remarks or comments. I will definitely miss watching their videos and learning from them. It would be nice to see this guy lighten up a little to his wife and realize that this is suppose to be a relaxing and enjoyable sport. Thank you….
