We find a bream bed and break down our process to locate and catch them. Fishing on Ross Barnett Reservoir in central Mississippi. This is an easy way to catch a lot of fish and get a kid hooked on fishing.

Great example of teaching kids the outdoors, I tried but failed with my kids. I put too much stress on my self trying to make it successful or perfect. I should have just had fun with them.
@learning_the_outdoors Жыл бұрын
I hate to hear that but at least you tried. It definitely takes a different mindset when taking kids. We've stopped fishing countless times after only trying for basically a few minutes because they wanted to play on a sandbar or go swimming or it was just too hot. But we've had some great trips along the way as well. Thank you for the comment sir!

This video is awesome! Father and son bonding time. I have a question or two. If I'm shore fishing do you have the same suggestions? Should i just find some vegetation or a dock or something to fish next to? Is a size 4 Aberdeen hook too big or just right? And should i have a small half shot on the line or do you suggest no weight at all? Thanks!
@learning_the_outdoors Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. We use a #8 size hook, which is really small, but I want the kids to catch even the small fish. I do use a small split shot. We always try to fish next to cover like you listed, with rocks being the preferred thing to fish by. Here is a video we made fishing from the bank in places that get fished a lot. Thank you very much for the comment and good luck!. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ppyAisSWztTMqmg.html
