This is what I love about art. Any art. The attention to detail, the love that goes into crafting, the sets, the characters, the storyline. No matter what you do, the time, the love that’s put into it whether this, or painting or whatever. You have to love what you do.

498K views for the Film (5 month ago)......... but only 2K views for this "behind the scene" one (one year ago)🙄 don't know what to think about that..... I personally think that this video deserves to be more visible, so more people would realize the amount of work, time, people engagement it takes in order to have the beautiful outcome seen in the movie! Good job all! Beautiful accomplishment and thanks for the metaphoric explanations matching the visual and its meaning in everybody's lives. This is a neat "behind the scene" video!!!

Fantastic. Even with all the new tools available, getting those 2 seconds of video a day really brings reality to stop motion movie making. You and your team are awesome.

All you guys that were involved should be proud. I had held off watching del Toro’s Pinocchio until a week or two ago. Not sure if I intentionally went looking for something more adult stop motion or if the film just popped up. It’s has a major studio production feel & look. I’m an old fart in my 50s, never went to film school. I was some friends student films when I was in my 20s but started getting into film making when I was in my 40s. The more you learn about film making, props, make-up, costuming and the whole she-bang the more you get a better appreciation for good writing and good production values. Lucky you guys had a good artist community to call on. It’s always col when you have a circle of people who share the “a high tide lifts all ships” attitude. No film maker or other artist lives in a vacuum. Way cool, because I was going to ask about the stylistic choices for the character and knew there had to be a practical as well as visual reason. I was also wondering about your background layers/mats. When I was in my 20s it was still all analog film and video tape with Babylon 5 being the only decent CGI effects TV show and home digital editing rigs were still $100k+ and a decade or more away. Hollywood has gone down the crapper for the most part. You have to go through some stinkers but when it comes to Indy Stuff you find some really good work. Indy Films don’t need to apply to the mass market that a major studio does, but when you find a story that grabs you it more than likely comes from an indy creator.

What would it be like to do stop motion using a film cinema camera vs digital camera, which has to be leagues easier?

@@bondgabebond4907 You basically wouldn't be able to see any mistake until the next day or whenever the rushes got processed. That's one of the major things, along with having to do a lot of the stuff in camera or to the master frame by frame.

This is insane. All the work and detail. Amazing. Definately a lot of team work and I wonder how much it costs to produce something like this, and how to even find the talent. A great achievement.

All of y'all's talent, tenacity and ingenuity wasn't lost in any aspect. It amazes me that this was all basically done within the confines of a four by eight piece of wood with two seconds of film talking an entire day to capture. Well done team!
