Often times I actually find myself actively avoiding a stratagy/weapon in games because it is META. It's almost like I have a compulsion to be unoptimal.

I missed a few enormous sections of elden ring on my first playthrough. The lake of rot, the deeproot depths, placidusax, how to get a mending ring. didn’t even realize this until I was watching videos never planning to play again & these things came up. I had to avoid videos for months before going back to play again. I would have been better served knowing

I could very much resonate with how i played elden ring, i wanted to find a good weapon and make my character stong, find cool gear and i did, he pointed me in directions so that i didn´t miss out on quests and that i came pretty, maybe little less than halfway through the game and i did have fun but then i came to a hault and started reconsidering what i was doing was actually robbing myself of overcoming problems and not doing proper exploration to find stuff for my self, not giving myself or the game a chance to speak for it self, playing it effective as you say, and i don´t usually play games like that, and in that i haven´t played the game in months now and the thing is that i really want to but i haven´t felt any mood or having energy for it, but someday i´ll get back on elden ring, with a fresh new character, just finding things naturally as it should be played. The good thing is that i don´t remember exactly how or where i found the gear or weapons etc i have on this current character so it will be a fresh start. ( kinda)

Bro I spent my time testing against arena ACs when I could be counting my DPS in the test mode. The only tester AC you need is Nightfall. Better for it, had more fun, died more times. Built more bots.

Actually elden ring was ruined by input reading, attacks faster than human reaction time, and a bunch of poor design choices.

Citation? Even if he did say that it’s pretty indisputable: using guides for everything, at least on your first play through, cheapens it and does little else but ruin your own experience.
