We just received this load of 11 Steers. The driver made the comment that they had just come off their Mums... no wonder they were a bit cranky!
Before we move them out we want to make sure they respect single braid Hotwire. If they don't, they could escape and even worse - teach our cattle to do the same!

Jake - Great Video just have 1 suggestion. Instead of using Cans get some cheap peanut butter. I don't have a video but I've too received in some new calves that I want to educate / respect my electric fencing. I will periodically go around fence dabbing some peanut butter on the + Hot Strand. Go back get a bucket of feed and release calves from corral and walk fence line stopping in the vicinity of peanut butter dabs. It only takes them a short wait till someone sniffs the peanut butter and ZAP. You are correct we have to get them to focus in on the Strand to complete learn to respect the fence. Again, Great Video Sir.

Thanks Shane, a great suggestion! I've also seen someone who electrifies barb wire wrap bacon around it. Apparently it works exceptionally well at deterring carnivorous predators! Thanks for watching - I'll be sure to try out your method.

@@wolkifarm Oh My - I'm not a fan of electrified barb wire but the bacon is a great idea for Predator Fencing. Thanks for that idea.

Could've just left the cans full of Carlton. That would give em enough of a fright if they tasted it! 😉 Another awesome and informative video.
