At Algoryx we have more than a decade of experience with full-system physics simulation of heavy machines, such as large harbor cranes, forest machines, wheel loaders, and trucks at construction sites and mines, or a large vessel towing an oil rig in rough seas. Automation of these machines is often a much harder task than automating an industry robot or developing a self-driving car. Not only because of the unstructured environment they operate in but also from the dynamics of the machines and the tasks they perform.
In this session, we will show you how we have used AGX Dynamics for Unity and ML-Agents to train an AI in a virtual environment to control a heavy vehicle. The key to this is the fast and accurate physics provided by Algoryx that makes it possible to model all aspects of the machine and its surroundings inside Unity.
