As someone who grew up in Ukraine I can honestly say that wealthy people in Ukraine have running water, and likely do not live in the countryside. That being said it is always nice to see someone keeping the traditional lifestyle alive. Again though this is not luxury.

I thought my mother was very exacting when I was a small child after the war. Lots of new potatoes had to be scraped with no trace of a blemish, Yorkshire pudding mix beaten till like cream and worst of all, fresh mint chopped until almost like dust. Yes, and all my jobs as I grew. I was 'learning'. My favourite job was shulling peas. But my father grew all our food so I really couldn't grumble. It was delicious. Everything was cooked separately so she was very busy but this method of cooking all veg together is far better. Days when we had a stew' were her washing days when time was short, or ironing days. Young wives then had to learn domesticity very quickly. No choice.

I think it is delightful to see and hear the beautiful pottery and textures in the home like the little butter churn. I love the hearth/firplace. I love the picutres on the walls, i love tradition. Wealthy persos have nothing to prove. Thye may choose how to live whatever is traditional, spiritual, artistic, the sounds of pottery, running water, the textures in the gardens and the silence. We ejoy cooking too, but its nothing like ukaine. Blessed be roisin❤

Tot Katia și Maria îmi plac mai mult,prin simplitatea lor,vasele vechi,ciobite,probabil lăsate moștenire de la mame,bunici...aia e viata rurala la care eu visez deși stau în oraș Aici îmi place metoda de a găti,dar mi e clar ca sunt mai înstăriți și nu au farmecul ala de vechi,modest,traiul ca la țară cu cele necesare de prin curte.

Maria lives in a modern house. She only uses the old kitchen for creative content. I would think that this lady also lives in a more modern house with modern conveniences, but uses a traditional kitchen to show traditional ways. 😊

Waktu saya 1 ,1/2 THN lalu ke Eropa Timur,dr Bursa ke Kusadasi ada 8 jm, sepanjang jalan itu tanaman Gandum, stroberi, anggur hijau,semua mereka merawat tanaman canggih, nyiram ada alat sendiri,buang rumput,pakai mesin, modern semua

that meat cooked in that crockpot looked DELICIOUS. She is a real master chef, I'd rather eat her food rather than ANY high priced fancy restaurant. Just beautiful, delicious food made correct, with love and care.
