he is layering 4 hats and 4 claps.and he s got no phase issues. i always get issues when i layer. i guess i should work on my eq ing or pick the right samples.

22:18 I don't think clipping is technically an issue on bus channels cause everything is a 32 bit float but it's still a good idea.

All I can say is wow, too bad I don't produce tech house, can you make something similar with CamelPhat or a similar producer? Focused mainly on the types of drums used and arp mixing/processing, this is where I struggle a lot

Too many adverts ruin this interview. Every time I'm listening intensively to the sound design Westend is explaining, an advert interrupts. I got to 20 minutes in but unfortunately with interruptions every few minutes I cannot tolerate any more. Real shame. - Luckily Westend's own channel has some awesome tutorial videos which I'll be going back to.

@@isaac10231 I'm not 100% sure but I think around 200. It's definitely worth it. Even if you just try it for a few months, you'll get some great feedback and they'll probably highlight some common issues that you can fix and remember for next time - just small improvement can take your music to the next level. I'm definitely improving with each track.
