Yes, I think artificial creations of geniuses are possible. Similar to John Stuart Mill are Gregory Smith, László Polgár's daughters, William James Sidis, Mozart, pascal. Their rigorous education from early ages resulted in them becoming 'geniuses' so to speak.

So everyone could be genius if there's no distraction(based on his explaination i think so)
@gutswithdrip879
@gutswithdrip879 2 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. The reason school doesn’t always work is because the system is too lenient. Only those who work hard will become geniuses, those who slack off don’t. However in the white room everyone is forced to work hard.
@simply-nate
@simply-nate Жыл бұрын
@@gutswithdrip879 Add to that genetics differences. But yeah, lots of us have untapped potential. If everyone was pushed at max speed there would still be geniuses, just of an higher order than those we have right now. Genius is a term that originates from a comparison between humans. It's hard to become a genius (say we forget that 160+ IQ puts you the label for free, although it's purely from a cognitive perspective). But if genius means outstanding-which I believe it does-then I guess that it is not so unreasonable to say that based on today's standards, it wouldn't be impossible for a great deal of people to become geniuses with hard work and high quality education such as displayed in the whiteroom students sequences.

@@simply-nate I don't think so.. Because recent studies do show meditation boosts overall iq...
@simply-nate
@simply-nate Жыл бұрын
@@jackyjack9660 Well I myself have a little bit of knowledge bout IQ and how to "increase" it. What you said is correct, you can boost IQ 1-5 points (5 being quite a lot considering 100 is average) by practicing meditation. So does sports, lecture, good diet, hygiene etc. Now think of it this way: if I told you to run 5km with 400g of weight added to both your feet, d'you think you'd be as fast as if u were unimpaired? Most likely not. How does it relate to IQ? Well our brains are powerful as kids but they tend to procrastinate much more when we grow (why? Less curiosity, less unknown territory which was equal to danger do heightened senses, etc.). Since we use our brains less intensively, it gets sleepy by nature (think of someone who's always on the couch) and works at X% efficiency. Add to that things that deteriorate your cognitive abilities such as sleep deprivation, sedentary lifestyle, poor diet (ie: mostly highly refined sugar), no engagement in mental activity (doing repetitive tasks for the entirety of your day without having to think hard or come up with original solutions, etc.)... In regard of meditation I would say this is fantastic to bring back awareness to your life (childlike kind of mind, running at higher speed because fully immersed in the moment) and consequently increase your IQ. But these couple points added to your IQ, you already had them to begin with, you just lost them because one or more of the reasons above and meditation is helping you retrieve them. If you reverse everything said above by having the proper behavior then you'll see what your genetic level is when its unimpaired. What about brain training games? You get better at this specific game, slightly better at similar games and nothing at different games. Sure you can train your memory, there is techniques for that but having a technique that increases your performance isn't the same as increasing your memory power. That sure can be trained decently up to a certain extent then u'll hit a ceiling. Same with maths, can get good at it with practice but u won't process it any faster than what your max level is, which is determined by your genetics. So yea, genetics determine your starting level as well as your maximum level. Try to have a healthy lifestyle, that's the best you can have to keep your mental cognition at a high level. Now if you're kind of interested in increasing IQ I'll give you something that is "experimental". It's not been tested to the extent I'll show you but there is a possibility that this can increase your IQ significantly (not above ur genetics limits tho). See mindfulness? Practice it as much as you can during the day. We know of meditation results for 30m-2h but have no idea how good it can power up our brains if utilized like 8 hours a day. That doesn't mean you need to be sitting eyes closed on a cushion, hell no. Just have ur life but be mindful of your breath, surroundings, people coughing, laughing, what they wear, the way they speak, the words they use etc. This won't train ur brain to get better at following X route (such as brain training games), it'll theoretically force it to read more pieces of information for the same given time and consequently increase its processing speed. Maybe you'll read substantially faster, maybe you'll understand abstract ideas faster... That's an experiment, I'm, testing it myself and that's quite hard for me to stay mindful for hours (btw don't be mindful when u wanna sleep, u have to rest xD). That is the closest thing to whiteroom students experiment, that's 50%. The other half is insane education and training, but u can look for it when ur done with this experiment. Remember that the research is still unclear whether IQ can be increased or not and up to now(contradictory studies), no one has cracked the problem. Good luck if you wanna try the experiment!

I mean it is all great, but in the case of Mill, despite his vast ability he chose to give up on ambitions of his father because they were not his own. As long as surviving is concerned it is all great, but when granted freedom of choice maybe people are susceptible to their innate statistical learning. It is unknown whether it can be controlled through eugenics or other future forms of neuro engineering. Also it is worth mentioning that under the effects of certain truma the way people tend to view the world may change or reset as it benefits the survival. But there are people like Lazlo Polgar who have shown that it is possible to create geniuses under “happy” environments that motivate them to continue pursuing the same path as they were taught. At least it appears as they are content with the decision of their father.

can geniuses be made in the real world from an average person?
@thebreaker3758
@thebreaker3758 2 жыл бұрын
As he said, you would have to begin at an early age like a couple of months or years old. Which means that from an average person no, but from an average person's child, yes. An average person can always hone their skills and become increasingly better at somthing, but the older a person becomes the more difficult it gets to learn and implement the fundamentals of a new skill, or to deepen your understanding and ability in that certain skill. So basically already learned skills can be expanded upon pretty easily, but learning entirely new ones is very hard once a person has already become an adult.

Yuuichi probably takes manipulation because he shows emotions while doing so, he has the upper hand. Ayano and yuuichi probably on par but I think Yuuichi a little bit better at manipulation

Sad to tell, but I have stopped reading the light novel of the anime. So, I don't know. But, I think Tatsuya is getting married to Miyuki. Because I have been getting spoilers in my previous videos' comment section about it.
