Excuse me. When have humans ever destroyed themselves? The answer is we haven’t. In our nature? No. In our nature to fight ourselves for supremacy, sure; what species doesn’t though? What development would we have without war? We wouldn’t. If we never fought eachother we would still be eating berries and living in mud huts.

The United States ICBM locations are common knowledge because they are used as a target for incoming missiles. The goal is to get an enemy to target the I icbm locations while still allowing many of our most valuable nuclear weapons free for the secondary attack or response attack. It's a diversion, It's essentially the world's most deadly and dangerous game of misdirection.

Those missile silos are all over in my corner of Colorado. They continue north into Nebraska, and South Dakota, and North Dakota. The crews that man them are housed close to their missile silos, and they must be very bored, because they have been witnessed doing some pretty wild and crazy shit in public. Let's just say I hope these guys aren't as high and drunk on duty as they are off duty. Otherwise we are all in deep kimchee.

I served 6 years, USN as an MT (Missile Technician, C3 Poseidon missile system) aboard boomers in the mid 80’s. We were responsible for every system (from flight control equipment, hydraulics, heating/cooling systems, every aspect from loading to close out) and I remember every time we drilled for launch how much weight everyone carried knowing what it meant if it were an actual launch. Knowing exactly what would come after, and knowing what the world would be like if we were to actually make it home. We all knew from extensive training exactly what these weapons would do, exactly how it performed when deployed from launch to detonation and the result, and I promise you it’s scarier than what you could possibly imagine. I also know that it’s a necessary weapon and I pray deterrence will still be enough to prevent an attack on US soil. You cannot put this genie back in the bottle. Contrary to movies and what most believe, there is no detonation button to blow it up in space. When it launches it will reach its targets with precision, and it will destroy everything in it path and would only take our sailors minutes to launch every one of them. Let’s pray we never have to. There’s no do overs.

Do you know who they get that power from? There is not one politician in this country that wasn't granted their position by the will of the people. I remember practicing drills when I was a kid in school in the event of a nuclear/other attack from a foreign adversary. Looking back, it was kind of a joke... like pretending you're not going to be affected by it as long as you either duck under your desk, or get marched down to the bomb shelter. It used to upset a lot of kids, that unknowing feeling, because it was a regular topic of conversation for everyone. And it should upset people... still today. There's no running and hiding from such attacks and surviving. If you're in a designated location by the enemy... just kiss and say "goodbye". I hate war with a passion, and I'm a proud veteran. The possibility of countries throwing tantrums and murdering one another aren't that unrealistic today. Not now.

It needn't be global. If our biggest 10 cities were nuked, the USA would be fatally destroyed. Russia would require more than two pulse bombs, being an enormous land mass. China probably would be cooked with just two.

Very interesting. In the late 70's I was stationed at a SAC base in northern Maine (Loring AFB). According to Wikipedia, Loring had the largest stockpile of nukes in the continental US. We had nine B-52's on 24 hour alert. They were loaded to the max with fuel and nukes. To reach the USSR, the bombers would essentially fly over the north pole. From the US it was the shortest route. For this reason, we were told that Loring was the 2nd highest priority for attack if a nuclear war broke out between the US and the USSR. Of course, Washington DC was priority one.

Serpent being cast out --> I'm 9, upside down, inside out, and one minute ahead of time. I'm the CIA, I'll erase your memory! 'Overt ops' -SOURCE d 6 IM MI 6 + 1 minute. E=MC2 Time relative to the speed of light. 'Time warp' We can fold space and time back upon itself up to one minute out, and therefore, We're no longer in September 1949 MAD. That's how We'd respond. @@alexanderswander8176 What I'm saying is no Russian ICBM lands on U.S., Canadian, or U.K. soil if everyone in were fired because of Ronald Reagans, nuclear 'time warp' star wars 'time shield'. Go home, take a cold shower, state aloud Jesus Christ, The Arch Angel Michael is Lord, and have faith in the God above as a sinner. Stay out of church, synagogue, mosque, etc, and have faith in God that it will work out for you, because on a bell curve, after the serpent is cast out, you're going to be dead in combat, and you may or may not get back to hell, thereafter, but you'd certainly get to Heaven. -Michael

The remote wireless launch capability is old tech which I doubt has been updated much nor pen tested much so it would seem obfuscation is probably the strongest part of the security preventing others from taking advantage of the wireless launch capability. Theoretically one would only need equipment capable of making the broadcast and then broadcast the correct signal.
