I was Dewalt through and through but had too many failures recently. First the impact, then the 54v Chopsaw, now all the 54v batteries are failing at a rate of about 1 a week. Moving over to Milwaukee now and no issues yet, they also have more spark specific tools that Dewalt doesn’t do.

I think it’s luck of the draw with most brands to be fair but all I no is the latest makita stuff is made of chocolate

@@JRCElectrical I’m building my own house just now so been through a width and breadth of tools. I’m a spark to trade but not been on the tools for a good 12 years. I am a bit off a tool addict though. If I was going back on the tools, Milwaukee 12v all the way for what we need. I was driving 8.0x120mm structural screws in today with my little M12 FID2. There’s a great little 12v circular saw for every sparks needs. After all the Dewalt 54v battery failures and digging in to the issue it looks like there is an inherent issue with how the battery packs are designed to swap between 18v and 54v. I wouldn’t say steer clear of Dewalt, I’ll just not be buying any more 54v gear from them. I’m sure you’ll do great with whoever you pick. Keep up the KZfaq videos your doing great, kind of makes me wish I was back.

Did you only put smoke alarm on landing, putting linked smoke alarm in living room and heat alarm in kitchen would have been a good cheap upgrade.

Just a quick one if anyone can answer regarding bonding. I replaced an old 6mm main earth for water mains. While doing a board change. This enters property at bolier room at the center of the house. This now has a new 10mm bond. All good. Until I just discovered the plumbers piped in copper under a concrete floor to the kitchen sink. 2 meters away. The 2 copper pipes under the sink seem to be linked with what looks like a 4mm cable. Is this satisfactory or do you need to bring a 10 mm to this location as it pipes come up from the concrete again.

Aslong as the 10mm earth is connected on the house side of the main stop tap this will be fine that’s all that’s needed

maybe have a look at hilti fleet management where you pay monthly covers repairs and insurance as well not sure if an individual can do it but might be worth a butchers I think he who shall not be named did a video on it

I buy what I think is the best value at the I need it, Bosch for 230/ 110v but I have moved to De Walt for battery tools, Saved myself a fortune and very happy, Tool snobbery is overrated 😂
