The HDB should design the door such that they dont face one another. And dont plant tree next to a lamp post along PCN, During the night , the light from the lamp are obstruct by the tree, so it does not serve it purpose,and the whole pcn is very dark, this may cause accident between cyclist and jogger,

Please control the open burning joss paper and candles. Many people living in hdb are suffering silently because we were told to be sensitive to others' religion. But does that mean we have to suffer silently for years to accommodate your culture that doesn't care about your neighbour? During chinese new year and hungry ghost festival, we will get sore throat because of the smokes from these open burning. Sometimes my whole family were awaken by heavy smokes at 3 a.m because our home was filled with smokes. Who dictate all these joss paper/candles must be burn right below the hdb? Is it possible to burn all these items in your nearest temple without affecting any of your neighbour. Your consideration is much appreciated.

Why many other BTO designs looks or identical & plain ?
@norman6499

Most bto facade design nowadays looks plain and almost identical especially in tampines, yishun. If u wan condo like design bto with huge window and balcony, come to punggol or sengkang. By the way most EC also look identical. You must be still living in the dinosaur age hdb flats where all flats are completely identical. Its becoming worthless by the way.

Ahh we finally meet the hdb architect. There is so much to complain for new hdb flats design. Its so horrible. Their void deck and their shelter are always flooded when its raining. Cannot even take shelter at the void deck or the shelter. Even their seats cannot be use cuz rain just come pouring in. Old hdb estate are so so much better built by architect of the past. Today flats feels like they are built with too much focus on design and lack functionality.

Come on, the trees, plants and the miserable small grass field doesnt mean u can call it nature…..like that every hdb flats can call themselves live near nature alrdy. Come see sentosa homes or punggol waterway flats and u will know what is it really live close to nature.

Singapore plant many tree around the city and suburbs, they cant come up with a better ideas and creativity. The concept has been adopted in Australia, US , UK, Canada decades ago. Singapore and Vietnam a very hot climate and humid sweating, you need water fountain, lakes to keep cool. The name "Garden city" was originated from Melbourne Australia, in 1996 the Premiere Jeff Kenneth change into " Victoria (Vietnam) on the Move" because he like Vietnamese migrants . Singapore then copy the name from them.

The garden city concept for Singapore was introduced by the then Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, on 11 May 1967. You said that concepted "originated" in Melbourne in 1996? Who's copying who? Learn history, please.
