My trimmer made a pop noise and quit. I replaced the spark plug which was pretty black and removed and cleaned carb. Still won't start, at times the pull cord is hard now....help?

Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem as I do. I replaced carburetor, fuel lines, fuel filter, primer bulb, cleaned air filter, put in fresh fuel and it will start as long as it’s not connected to the shaft, head etc. When connected and I pull the cord, the head roared with every pull and it will not start. I have looked everywhere on the internet and can’t find out what’s causing this.

The green hose on mine will not plug back into the gas reservoir. It is spitting gas out everything I prime the button 10 times. I'm overseas and will have a hard time finding it. I will try.

NEVER had to replace fuel filter, always can be just cleaned w air n carb cleaner !!!

Spark arrester could be full of carbon that could keep it from starting as well.
