Oh my goodness Gemma these look amazing! My little grandsons are coming for the weekend and I KNOW this would make an amazing surprise treat for their Sunday breakfast. Thanks for sharing this today, I am totally going to make these this weekend! Also, thanks for the great tip on the freezing of the batter for making them in advance. That gives me time to make them ahead so I have more quality time to spend with THEM! 😉

Thanks for this awesome recipe Gemma!💯 These are the best chocolate muffins I've ever made!! They are decadent and the tops had a brownie like finish. I used sour cream instead of yogurt, and they were perfect. A winner recipe!

just made these, they are cooling down right now. it smells soooo good!! first I was afraid they were not baked enough because they were still so soft when I took them out but the top hardened now :) in stead of using chocolate chips I used a tony chocolonely bar with dark milk pretzel caramel and chopped it

Thank you Gemma. It indeed is the best-ever muffin recipe. :D I made half of the recipe and added on some sliced almonds for 12 mini ones. They are super easy to make, super soft, super melt-in-mouth and the chocolate flavor was a blast in mouth. Perfect!

Omg I just made these. And let me tell you this is not a bakery style muffin. This is what I WISH I got in my bakery muffins. Gemma is completely right. These are brownies disguised as muffins ! One of the best muffin recipes ever. Definitely give it a go

This is my absolute favorite kind of muffin.. My weakness..lol I’m a little confused about them tasting like a brownie though. I don’t really care for brownies much, but I love a moist muffin. Otis Spunkmeyer’s chocolate muffins are so good!! 😘 I have a milk allergy, so I’m wondering what I could use in place of yogurt? If anyone tries this recipe, can you tell me if it’s a brownie taste, or texture, or both. I’m on the fence..But they look AMAZING!! 👍

Omg these are one of the BEST muffins and I would definitely recommend this the only thing I did different was that I put less then half of the oil because it looked like a lot and I don’t like adding to much oil but overall it’s AMAZING even with less oil it tasted even better then store bought so if anyone plans to do this and wants a kinda healthier version just add less then half of the oil it will still turn out amazing 😉

i tried these, best double choc muffins ever... made a few tweaks to the recipe, will recommend everyone to try it out: 1) use half melted butter, half oil instead of all oil, will give nicer flavour 2) use sour cream if you want to enhance the flavour :))) overall the yummiest muffins ive ever baked
