I am humbled. I am glad you understand what i was trying to teach, maintenance is so important if we are not going to become a constant drain on resources making new machines every time a little problem comes about. if appliances are built correctly and maintained and serviced the energy savings for the consumer is brilliant (and the planet). we also have to educate manufacturers into producing parts that are the affordable to make the job repairable for the consumers. it is a two-way street

Absolutely brilliant video which gave me the confidence to go into our machine and give it a good clean out. Our machine was still working, but kept showing the container full warning, even when it clearly wasn’t. I found the grot and wet fluff from over ten years use interrupting the float system that detects water level and flow and hence falsely triggering the container full. Thanks.

Thanks very much for this video. I have a very similar Bosch machine and was having this problem. We've had the machine (two adults and two kids) for just about 10 years. I've always cleaned out the filter and condenser unit but never looked at the pump or 'under the hatch'. I followed your video and you wouldn't believe the slimey gunk under the hatch and around the pump. I cleared it all out and cleaned the pump - I also carefully removed the cover and checked the impeller too. All cleaned and put back together and it works better than it has in a long time. Thanks for the video, you've saved me from (probably) buying a new machine and should have lowered my electricity bills. 👍

Real detailed video on getting the best out of the tumble drier especially in times of high price electricity. Like the idea of using the power washer to clean the condenser unit. The tap water pressure is not sufficient to remove the fluff on the plates. Liked the power screw driver but could not distinguish the make or model no.

First try i forgot to remount the motor protection. So i had to dismount the wholepanel once again. This is the most comprehensive video on this problem. Excellent work. I've done the sump clean etc, but my problem is the condenser clean light is tripping after 5 mins, but the condenser has previously been cleaned. Water building in plastic diverter before condenser. Driving the Mrs nuts. Run out of options napart from buying a new condenser or machione !!! Mine is 12 years old & taken a look at new series 4 machine in shop. Looks the same, apart from plastic air diverter that fits in front of condenser before the door flap. So wondering my machine has a design fault !!!!!!!!! They'd never admit it though !!!!!!

Firstly, you did not say what machine you have, but let me explain the process, the water condenses on the evaporator plate. Then it runs down the plastic to a well where either there is a pump that will transfer the water to the collection bowl on some models, the collection bowl can be at the bottom of the machine and there is no pump if the water is not getting to the collection bowl, you may have a problem where it just needs cleaning, but if it is getting to the pump, but not transferring the water than an alarm will be set. You may just have a blockage in the pump or the pump may be faulty. I hope this helps, glad we could help you pillock macpillock this is for you kzfaq.infoe432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's what keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍

Thanks a lot! Although our Siemens is about 10 years newer then the model in de video, it was still 99% correct and my problem is solved! As the dryer is only 2 years old, could we have prevented the issue by cleaning the condensor more often? Or is this more like a design flaw? Thanks again!

Thank you for the video. Very helpful. The issue I have is the filter sensor (not the water sensor) comes on after 15 minutes of drying. Hi Paul, excellent video as always. I'm impressed about the little powerful screwdriver you use in this video and others. Can I ask you the brand? I have a Bosch, designed for domestic use. I use it everyday for professional tasks, as it is small, and fits well in my tool bag. I have a much bigger one, but not very practical in my case, because of his size. Yours seems to be both small and powerful enough. Greetings from a happy subscriber from Spain!

Excellent video, thank you for the detailed walk through. I’ve cleaned out the sump on my Bosch dryer and problem solved. As this isn’t part of the standard maintenance recommended by Bosch, I assume that these style of dryers collect more lint in the sump than they should. Can you recommend any other preventative steps I could take to reduce the amount of lint that gets in the sump? Better seals around the sump cover, or the condensor? Thanks again, great video.

Glad it helped! You should do regular maintenance and cleaning on your tumble dryer. Also, you should check the pump unit and the water sensor since the wet fluff in that area would be giving a false reading to the circuit board, which indicates that it may be full of water when it is not. Hi, I've bought an 8kg Hotpoint condenser dryer 6 weeks ago brand new, I've noticed that where the condenser fan is there is a small leak on the right side, water builds up and starts running down, I clean the lint filter and empty container after every load, I've also washed out the condenser unit, is this normal on all condenser dryers? Hi, I have exactly the same issue.I opened the panel of the dryer and I cleaned up the pump. The problem still occurs.I was in warranty where that problem started. An official Bosch technician came to fix the dryer. Without seeing anything when I explained him the problem, he replaced the motherboard of the dryer directly and he left. The dryer was fine for approximately 6 months but the problem started again. What I have realized is, the dryer stops working after some minutes when is totally cold.If it stops for approximately 3-4 times and I reactivate it back directly (which means it keeps the hot temperature ) then it ends up the drying procedure without problem.Even if I will start a new one drying procedure after the end up of the first , it is ending without any stop. Do you have any idea what is causing that?

A customer said her machine was stopping after about a minute. I tested it with a damp dishcloth and it ran no problem. She has just said it is doing it again with no errors or full tank indicators any suggestions please?

Hi, I have a Bosch with a heat pump and I have a problem with a full tank. I took it all apart, cleaned the condensers with a hose, I didn't have a pressure washer, everything is clean, but the problem looks like this: When I run test P07, while the empty tank is in the dryer, at 1st stage pump raises the water and fills the tank, 2 and 3, the tank empties into the condensers, but when at stage 4 the pump needs to raise the water again, it does not raise it into the tank, but I hear buzzing of pump. I tried the same test without the tank in machine and then everything works as it should, it seems that the water that is emptied from the tank does not reach the pump fast enough, as it does through the overflow hose when there is no container. Please let me know if you know what can be reason? Is there any way that pump one time works fine, but after few second dont have power? I dont understand...

It is really hard for me to ever assist anyone with this heat pump tumble dryers as they have so many sensors and so many problems. Heat pump tumble dryers work on the basis of refrigeration and when you mix this with the tumble dryer fluff can cause one of the biggest problems. glad we could help you Miloš Todorović this is for you kzfaq.infoe432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's what keeps this channel going.
