The Wesley Special is my favorite bow out of many that I have had. The one that I have belonged to my late father Bill Giffin and he won the 2000 I.B.O World Championship with it. Coincidence is that today is his Birthday Aug 26th.

Thank you for this video! I am very surprised there aren't more videos related to howard hill bows. I have had my wesley special for a few months now and it's my favourite bow to date incredibly beautiful as well.

I have a Actionbow by Actionrod 2800 that is a 60 inch all fiberglass duel side bow at 36#. This bow is anywhere from a year A year younger then my dad in November 1961 until end of 1979 as the same bow. Also this model had the lowest brace height of any bow I have seen that was on the market at the time of 4.5--5 inches and had one of the lowest price points for a hunting weight bow, the company made them out to 50-55#. However the now there is lower brace heights for adult production bows as the brands making super recurves of the 1980's onward were not out yet, those were made to compete with the compound bows when recurve was loosing popularity in the USA and often need a compound arrow rest of some kind for the bow.

At 3:11 bottom limb bends more. Tiller is off.

correct but at 3.12 when the string is only two inches away from the shooter's mouth immediately after release and before the arrow leaves the string, the upper limbs bends so much more than the lower limb it is unusual to say the least.

mædəˈɡæskər/ ebony, you need to work on your pronunciation!

Sorry but it's Makassar Ebony not Madagascar Ebony. Makassar Ebony is so named for the Indonesian port city of Makassar, which is its main point of export. All I know is that it's beautiful! And I want to make sure folks have the correct information. But thank you for your concern.
