Thanks a lot! this really worked for me! When I opened the notebook, it was all dirty, with dust everywere. My notebook was reaching 86°C when I ran any type of game, and now it reach 61°C at most, running games like MKX or Batman Arkham knight.

you can disconnect display cable at 8:00 if you remove piece of plastic where the battery is

Чтобы не мучиться как на видео (время 8:20), лучше откинуть шлейфы матрицы и колонок заблаговременно, для этого есть специальные технологические отверстия, они скрыты под планкой в районе контактов батареи!!!

Илдар Каримов Шлейф матрицы, в нем также проходят линии вэб-камеры и микрофона, возможно плохо вставили.

Спасибо за совет!! Но помогло мне это больше не при вскрытии, а при сборке назад! маленький коннектор засунул изнутри, а вот большой.. хорошо что эту дырку сделали!!..

У меня этот ноут 4 года как был куплен так и не разбирался, на днях сгонял с другом его чистить и вычистили столько пыли... это кошмар там было целое облако пыли прям пленка такая, после чистки у меня оказываеться опять заработал куллер и все стало в разы лучше и он стал меньше греться и уже не расколяться до обжигания пальцев, могу сказать что фпс в кс поднялось на 20, у меня было 60 а сча стабильно 85-100, но я там еще в настройках винды ковырялся тоже долго и отключал ненужные процессы и по этому фпс поднялось еще на 15-20, к сожалению мы тогда не смогли снять и почистить куллер полностью потому что у нас не было термопасты, но когда ее заменим тоже все должно стать в разы лучше, надо еще желательно поменять жесткий диск на хард диск! как же приятно иногда выложить всю душу в один коммент который все равно врят ли кто прочтет))

Even after cleaning the fan (and replacing it) and reapplying paste my N56VV still gets to over 90 degrees when gaming - had to underclock the CPU to prevent it. Seems like the cooling solution isn't ideal for any high intensity tasks, which blows considering they put a dedicated GPU in there.

Sigh. My optical drive's screw is stripped. Can't get any further than accessing the hard drive and RAM. Wish I could actually get in there and clean the darn thing. Any tips from anyone on how I would go about opening this thing?

Заклинило вентилятор - разобрал, почистил, собрал. После этого ноут иногда просто зависает напрочь вообще ни на что не реагирует, speedfan высоких температур не регистрирует (думал датчик температуры отключает). В чём может быть проблема не подскажите? До переборки такого не было.

You should first remove the little cover above the battery pins that allows you to unplug the monitor and speakers before taking appart everything.

Damn it, i wish i had known that 2 weeks ago when i disassembled one. I just yolo-d it open and everything was unplugged, safely thankfully. Just had to change the bios battery, but it's behind the motherboard... :D Took me few hours in total with extensive cleaning and new thermal paste application (thermal grizzly aeronaut).

Так разбирать неправильно! Для отключения шлейфа матрицы и динамиков там есть окошко на корыте! А так их можно легко порвать. Также никогда так не закручивайте винты на охлаждении

There is an easy way to unplug display and speakers cables : underneath the battery there is a small plastic cover, once removed both connectors are exposed that will allow tech to disconnect and then reconnect (during re-assembly) both cables.

what is a good temperature for this notebook? because i have a g56jr , what is practically the same than this and when im playing heavy games the cpu get 88 to 90º and gpu just 86 all the time

If in your laptop processor Core i7 - 90º its normal temperature

What is the tool your using to get in between the seams of the laptop? Basically to separate the bottom from the top part? Im trying to clean my mothers N56V out since she is complaining about it being really hot.

Hi, by which of the 9 pins does the battery charge? Because my asus n56 has a problem that does not charge the battery but I got an external battery charger, it recognizes to where it has charge but they spend 4 hours and not load nor 1% ... thanks hola, por cuales de los 9 pins carga la bateria? porque mi asus n56 tiene un problema que no carga la bateria pero consegui un cargador de bateria externo, reconoce hasta donde tiene carga pero pasan 4 hs y no carga ni 1%... gracias

si usas windows 10 es un problema de drivers y si buscas en you tube es fácil de arreglar sin gastar nada

Air compressor or compressed air is far superior. Just hold the fan in place with your finger.

I would have put HS compound on those memory chips too. I use a special ultra high heat transfer coefficient compound and the CPU runs 10 degrees C cooler!

I have opened and cleaned my laptop yesterday :) The video provided great help, thanks again. I would like to give You a short advice: do not remove the thermo paste from the CPU and GPU chips. Even in solid form it provides much higher thermal conductivity than air (which is the case if you remove it). I recommend the cleaning of the laptop and fan only if you have a fresh thermo paste available. I have ordered 10g paste in a tube for 4€ on amazon, I think it is not expensive if you consider that your cooling system will be almost 100% refreshed. And maybe I used only 1/3 of the tube for these 2 surfaces, the rest will dry for sure if I do not find someone to give. I hope I helped! :)

Raffaele Vitale hi, the difference the thermo paste brings, we users will never feel. It just helps the components to cool better and prolonge their lifetime. I would wait with the first cleaning until 1/2 of the warranty time. But no problem if you have the time now :) just make sure you remove the old paste as much as you can and dont put tooo much new paste. Just write if I can help more :) have fun!

GPU is soldered to motherboard, so it can't be replaced\upgraded. CPU is replacable, but possibility of upgrading depends on your CPU\chipset

it's depends on the chipset of your motherboard, it can be HM77, QM77, HM76, HM75. List of processors that has higher core frequerency depending on chipset (Ascending): QM77, HM77: 3720QM 3820QM 3840QM 3920XM 3940XM; HM76, HM75: 3720QM 3820QM 3840QM. Second thing that actual performance improvement won't be such big compared with price for new CPU, because you already have i7, for example: 3720QM = 378.00$ = +9.45% 3820QM = 568.00$ = +13.92% 3840QM = 568.00$ = +18.81% 3920XM = 1096.00$ = +23.92% 3940XM = 1096.00$ = +25.66% prices I took from official intel portal ark.intel.com, i know that prices in the internet is lower.

yes it is going in the way but he did not show it, this is a bit incomplete. If you follow everything you will ran into trouble with the drive.

Salutations à tous. Il est préférable d'utiliser aussi une bombe à air comprimé pour le nettoyage du vebtirad. Dans cette vidéo, très instructive d'ailleurs, rien ne montre que la brosse retire toutes les poussières sur l'épaisseur de la grille d'échappement d'air chaud. Lorsque l'on fait une maintenance de ce genre, on remplace aussi la pile de BIOS.

well i tried that and now my monitor isnt working that well, the colors aren't right and the sound from the speakers gets distorted when it's too loud, is there any way i can fix this? or did i just fuck it up?

I have a bad problem with my N56VJ the connector from the main board to the on/off switch was broke (totally ruined) when I short it by using a screw driver (across the pins) I can get the laptop to start up but there's no way I do that with the laptop put together is there some kind of easy work around for this problem?, if it wasn't for the laptop shutting down when on/off button is held down too long I could just short the connector permanently (solder across it) then when I put battery in it will start up without hitting the on button, but bc it will shutoff after a few seconds of holding the on button I guess that won't work?, I'm not sure (does anyone have a schematic of any of the Asus N56's?), anyway is there any easy (cheap) work around for this problem?

у меня при запуске игр бывает сильный нагрев до выключения ноута. Какая причина может быть нагрева?

Радиатор забит пылью, необходима чистка и заодно замена термопасты. Если не почистить, сгорит чип на материнской плате и ремонт будет стоить как половина стоимости ноутбука.

Скорее всего это драйверы. У меня подобное было когда экспериментировал с ними. Откатив на прошлые точки восстановления и все прошло.

Did you replace the thermal paste? Without new thermal paste of course the laptop will heat up much worse than before.
