I've always thought Dan's voice was the best in Skyhill... I know he says he slightly wrecked it by singing improperly but my God, his voice is made for the melodic angsty sounds of this band. Keep it coming guys. MCL

i can’t even describe how this makes me feel. firefly and the entire run with the hunted album got me through so much, and helped keep me going when i felt like i was truly lost. despite everything, this has been the one constant thing over the last several years that i’ve held onto. i can already tell you that this song makes me feel like i’m hearing the band for the first time again, and i know whatever comes next will make me feel the same way tenfold. this song feels like an old friend taking your hand and pulling you with them, like a promise that only good things are ahead.

Back when I studied abroad in the UK I had wicked bad insomnia since it was my last year of college and I was unsure what the future held. I listened to that full Skyhill album on loop as I walked throughout the campus around the village all through the night thinking of everything I had done over those four years and where I was going. I've always loved how this music could take me to a level introspection and reflection to help me make my peace with the changes of the times and my own life. There doesn't have to be a lot of Skyhill songs, but maybe that's what makes them special. Like pearls that only form in certain times of year when tidal patterns and the migration of aquatic life affect the surroundings of oysters. It's music for the changing of seasons. Always something special whenever it comes around, but subtle and sometimes unnoticed.

Literally YESTERDAY, I watched a cameo compilation where Dan said that Skyhill was having a new single. LETS GO.

When I first heard of Skyhill, it was thru Danny mentioning that there had been music before NSP but it was a 'dead' group that was no longer making music. I listened to all of the "Run with the Hunted" album on repeat for several weeks, as I was going thru a lot at the time and hearing the emotion in the music was so beautiful, and even now it gives me strong emotional reaction. It's a wonderful album and I thought "how cool would it be if there were more of this?" The next year Fireflies was released and I was amazed and impressed as hell. I figured it was the last hurrah, but a joyous and wonderful one. Skyhill wasn't 'together' together anymore, but that's ok because their music still exists. Now, years later there is Howling at the Moon! I feel blessed by this absolute banger. It makes me want to drive down the highway at night, blasting this song at full volume into the cold fall air, with the full moon above me and the open road ahead. Even if you decide this is "the last one", thank you guys so much for all your amazing hard work! Hopefully there is more spark in Skyhill left though. Your music is so meaningful and full of emotion. Stay amazing!!!

I don't know why this hit me so hard. I didn't grow up with Skyhill. I didn't even listen to their music until about a year ago. I guess it's just a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect new music anytime, and there's been so little to feel good about this year. I know no one wants to hear more about how crappy 2020 has been, but I really haven't felt okay since my dad tested positive for covid last month. He's doing much better now, so I'm very lucky in that regard. But still. This song made me feel good. Thanks.

Peter's instrumentation and production gives me such happy ethereal vibes, but also like a twinge of melancholy in there as well. Skyhill's first album was with me when I was trying to build myself up again at the end of a very tough relationship. It broke me down, I was traumatized from the manipulation I endured, and Run With The Hunted was with me when I started to see a shimmer of hope again in my life. I'll never ever forget how much their music helped me, and I get goosebumps listening to this wonderful new piece. If these guys ever make an entire new album I will legit explode with excitement the moment it drops.

What a gift we have been given this day!

Funny, about three years ago, I gave in to depression and though I won't get into details, lost my home and everything in it. I ended up in a mental hospital due to a suicide attempt and moving back with my mom. Something about the Skyhill album spoke to me and I listened to it nonstop. There was a sadness in it that I somehow related to, but also some hope. It REALLY helped me deal with the lowest point in my life. It's been three years (almost 4) and I'm in a much better place in my life now. Now this song comes along. It makes me so happy to see this song. And I do hope if anyone out there is going through something like I was, that it cheers them up somehow.

I'm sad this band itself didn't get as far as it should have back then.... deserves more publicity.

I got into skyhill around the time I got out of my first long term relationship, it was 1 year long exactly. I was 16 at the time, and I used to have a very hard time parsing lyrics of music, so most of the subject matter of Run With the Hunted was completely lost on me, besides Only One, which was so in your face that I immediately knew how it connected to my situation. Over the years of listening to it again and again, because it is genuinely fantastic music, it literally helped me process what happened in my relationship and how I felt about it. Run With the Hunted shaped the way I think about past relationships, current relationships, *myself;* it's impossible to overstate how meaningful it is to me, not even including that it helped me realize how much I like singing alone in my car. This band means worlds to me and I'm so excited for this.

I know what I'm listening to on repeat fo god knows how long. I adore the first Skyhill album, and Fire Fly is beautiful. I like NSP a lot, but Dan's work with Skyhill is some of my favorite music. Rock on, Danny.

So, when I was in college I needed music to concentrate. I couldn't listen to music with lyrics because it would take me out of reading my assignments. After a while, classical music and Vaporwave gets real old. Skyhill's album was the only music with lyrics I could listen to because Dan's voice is so harmonic with the music. I listened to that album on loop. It got me thought some long reading assignments. I'm excited as hell to see more is coming. Thanks for helping me graduate Skyhill. You da best.

This is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. They just keep getting better and end better! The production value is pristine and clear. It’s such a hopeful song, especially resonating with the end lyrics about the darkness receding. Danny is one of my favorite people of all time. His kindness is unparalleled, and his talent knows no bounds. I would love it if he did another album with Skyhill. Fireflies was amazing and got me into them. Their first album is wonderful, and it sucks that it wasn’t as successful as they wanted it to be. Danny had deserved the fame he’s gotten, and it’s been a long time coming. Can’t get enough of his music whether it’s NSP, Starbomb, or Skyhill or anything else Dan has undergone to showcase his creativity and talent. Keep up the great work, Danny! I cannot believe there is a new Skyhill song. I love every single damn song on this channel, and I love Dan's voice, it's been years, but I have listened to the older songs probably 20 times each, life is a lot different now, mostly for the worse..but I find solace in Skyhill.

I just howled at the moon! In Finland we had supermoon. It was awesome!

In early 2018, I did radio on one of the songs in my library. In the queue was Skyhill, and I immediately got hooked. I couldn't shake the feeling that it sounded like Dan, so I looked it up and surely enough it was. I listened to the album a lot. Soon after my girlfriend broke up with me, and I was devastated, but Skyhill's music was always there for me. Later that year I got my own zipped hoodie custom made with the words Skyhill and the logo. Since then I have no doubt listened to the album 100+ times (if Google Play Music were still around I could check.) Recently I met a group of insanely great people online, and a couple of them also have listened to Skyhill. First that, then this. Pete and Dan, thank you for the magical music. You've helped me and many others. I'm looking forward to the potential new album and remaster of Run with the Hunted.
