I’d like to see this challenge redone with one critical difference… steel plate instead of pavers underneath The sand acts as a massive absorber of energy for every drop, but admittedly it’s easier to fill in divots with sand than repair solid slab/concrete flooring

If u put that under solid metal or concrete, there would be more damage. The sand also takes away a lot of the impact.

I believe the outcome might be a bit different if the box was on a surface that didn't have any "give". The sand is soft, which provides the "give". Try on a hard concrete surface. Might be surprised!

sadly GoPros have to save the file for it to be recorded and when the micro SD was ejected it meant that file was corrupt. Luckily the footage from the earlier drop was in. We’ll do our best to make sure next time the footage of the hammer hitting is sorted to prob taping the heck out of the case haha
