I am one of those women who wear dresses daily and enjoy being a homemaker and homeschooler. But, if I dare speak for that influencer, I’m sure it’s not to make anyone feel bad that she shares that. We’re all just building our lives in the way we enjoy and God leads. Great video

I think that’s the point though, it’s not the presentation of women that’s the problem, it’s our own internalised feelings of inadequacy that need addressing.

I think you'd be amazed at how the dress wearing homeschool mom feels about how YOUR life looks. That beautiful library to do devotional time in without kids screaming in the background because they're off at a good school that you know you can trust, and you've got your own branded merch because you've managed to build an incredible ministry while still being a godly wife and mother. I'm just saying-- I think we all look at our own lives and kind of wonder what went wrong or why we're not as "Proverbs 31" as the women around us. I know I certainly do.

I was just reminding the women in my group recently that we aren't called to be the Proverbs 31 woman (Not that we can't be inspired by her), but the Titus 2:3-5 woman. Keep it up, Faith! you're doing great and you're inspiring us all to the greater good ❤

Faith - you are such a joy to watch. I’m older (I could be your mom) but still we could learn every single day. I feel the love you have for our Lord and that is beautiful. Now, while I don’t have little ones anymore and I look back I know that I did fall short on bringing up our children in a more Godly way. I pray that you don’t let negativity (the evil one) get into your head or heart. Continue teaching us about the Bible and how to live with it. God bless you

As a fellow content creator and mama that makes lots of faith content on @ThisMamasFaith channel wearing dresses, homeschooling and gathering eggs, I PROMISE you that the image you see is not the whole story and even if it doesn’t look like your life, it can still be beautiful and something to inspire you not just make you feel bad about yourself. I love how you stress the importance of seeking Jesus. We were literally MADE to know love and serve God, everything else is secondary, even marriage and parenting ❤

Thank you! I was never able to have children, and my husband and I had a busy life. Now I am alone because my husband passed away. I miss him so much. I can now focus on God more now. The last 5 months of my husbands life I was so busy caring for him, he had stage 4 lung cancer, I did not have a lot of time for my alone time with God. I still struggle.

My husband has stage 4 prostate cancer, we have four kids, 2 are young at home still, we own a dental practice that I am the main doctor in. He is the Financial officer for, plus we home school our two youngest. With him being sick, it has been the hardest, busiest time in our life. Trying to maintain some sense of stability and push fear out of our hearts. It’s so hard. I find it very hard to find time to sit and study my Bible and pray and journal every day. It does help me get through though. Even just the little bit I can achieve. Praying for you.

I have come to faith at 42, my daughter is 12 and is opposed to believing, yet she is challenging me and asking questions. I asked questions all my life, and backed away from Christianity till now. So I’d love to drag her along, and sometimes feel sad that she is against God, yet also know in my heart I would have been seen as very lost through my life but I was always on the path to here! And I see now that I have been soo God led my whole life. So I have faith she will come around. 😊

I have regrets as they were still young 5 years ago and I did do the best I could at the time, but now I am completely lost with them at this age.

Thank you for pointing out that godly womanhood is individual (we don't all fit into the same mold) and changes with the seasons of life. Whether or not we have children, whether or not we work full time outside our home, whether or not we have elderly parents or a special needs child that require more of our time, or if you're like me - retired, caring for grandchildren a few days a week, extended time with my husband... The ways I serve now are not the same (can't be and shouldn't be) as the ways I served 30 years ago. I think the Proverbs 31 woman is a blend of ALL seasons of life. We are not expected to, or capable of, accomplishing them all at any one time. But throughout life we accomplish those that fit the season we're in. Thank you for being so open about your life.

I'm a 38 year old married to a 60 year old. For health reasons we chose not to have children. Our health conditions affect how we do things. I struggled for a long time with self-condemnation for not being able tp be the "excellent wife" I believed I should be. I've learned that every situation is different and it's the heart and the motivation that matters. I can still glorify my Lord without being that super perfect proverbs 31 woman. Though I do still use her traits as a guiding point for my own life.

Love this! Also has to do with context again: Both the context of Proverbs as a whole (descriptive, not prescriptive words of wisdom) and for you personally, the context of the place/season you are in (mom of school-aged kiddos, newly moved, exploring the area, tacos are always a holy pursuit *wink*, etc.). When I've heard Prov 31 woman misused by overzealous legalists, I just ask what them what I should do with verse 7...ha. Love your channel! Keep going!

This is excellent Faith! Yes, it doesn't have to look like what someone else does. If someone wants to wear a dress (me) and someone else wants to wear jeans or leggings (also me), that's ok. That's not what's important, it's our heart towards God and what He's called us to do. We need to be led by the Holy Spirit and not man. We should do what the Lord has US doing and not what He has another doing. There are also personalities and life circumstances that factor here. I am a 47 year old homeschooling mother of 4 kids ages 7-20. I do get up early before everyone else because it's the best decision for me and my family. I feel better when I do this but I don't think it works for everyone. Again we need to be making our own choices with the Lord's guidance. This is an amazing video reflecting on Proverbs 31! Excellent! Fantastic! Bravo!♥️👑💐

I resented the Proverbs 31 woman for so long. I felt that I wasn't capable of attaining that standard because I am, by nature, a messy girl. I just am. So, to try to see how other woman dealt with that, I started following influencers to see if there were things I could pick up from them. What ended up happening to me is that I became even more discouraged and resentful. Why? Because comparison really is the thief of joy. I've prayed so hard about this very subject, and the Lord has really touched my mind about it. My gifts aren't going to look like the gifts of another woman because He made us each so different, and we are each unique and precious in His sight. I trust that He'll walk me through any changes He wants me to make. Maybe I'll end up being the chicken granny (I'm 60) or maybe I'll stay the fishing granny with a messy house, great food, and funny stories. The devil rejoices when we condemn ourselves and beat ourselves up. That's part of why I so enjoy your content. You are real. You aren't shy about discussing your struggles. Thank you for that.

Thank you for sharing your heart in this. The part about being a living sacrifice and not being on your phone really touched me. What spoke to my heart was your missing your chickens and goats and y’all having moved from South Carolina to Texas. My family move back to Texas last year from Columbia Sc. We now live south east of Waco and have chickens And goats. Doing this is what Jesus called me to do. I will go feed my goats treats(apples and carrots) and pray for you, my sister in Christ. I wish I could give you a hug bc I can’t imagine my life without our farm…even when Princess jumps the fence and Samson acts like a dirty buck, or the hens decide to use the hay feeder rather than the nesting boxes to lay their eggs. I am grateful to have them.❤🐐

Lovely video. Re: the section where you referenced "feeling less than" - that happens to all of us . I blame social media for that. I never felt less than prior to Instagram. I deleted Instagram many months ago and have never felt better . As for mornings - I no longer have a child at home. It is just me an hubby , and i actually get up at 4am but always struggled with having my quiet time when I first woke up. It never really worked for me and I struggled with that for a long time. For ages now, I have moved my quiet time to one hour before I start work. By then, I'm fully awake, have gotten everything done around the house and I don't have to rush. God gets my full attention. Speaking of work. It bothers me when influencers try to tell Christian women they should not work. I have to work to help provide for my family and I don't feel guilty about that. Fortunately I work from home but I do work full time. I still find the time (and very much enjoy) to cook, clean , get the laundry done, etc. I love having a home my husband loves to come home to. Only 5 years till retirement though and I very much look forward to being a full time homemaker then :) . I think a Godly women is a woman who first and foremost has a deep love for God, but also a women who takes care of her mind , body, and spirit as well as taking care of her family. This will look different for everyone. As long as we are being proper stewards of what God has given us , as long as our family is loved on and happy, we are on the right path :)

I love that you speak from your personal prospective. Living as a godly woman is going to look differently for everyone, just as one's relationship with God will look differently because it is personal with Him and you. I love the view of things from a grace angle. As a single woman, it can be challenging to find information on living godly from my life's view point. I have a very time consuming job where I work 50-90 hours a week, and struggle with having any energy to do anything but get through each day as it comes. God has placed me here for this season, but I don't think I am doing a very good job of it. :) Hopefully, I can learn to do better! I enjoy your down to earth videos. Thanks for posting.

I’ve searched everywhere and haven’t found a simple way for children that they would catch on. It’s somewhat easy for us adults to get started, but haven’t found one for children…

So refreshing. All the other women I see on KZfaq are making their own bread, cleaning all day and has a baby on their hip all the time (which all are totally praise worthy qualities) but I have compared myself to that standard and I realize that’s not healthy and simply finding my identity in Jesus is what makes me godly and right with the Lord. My identity is not just a homemaker.

Girl, my father wasn’t ever there. He didn’t show up on my wedding day, and he’s never met my children. Every now and then my heart breaks that he hasn’t been around especially since my 4 year old son is severely handicapped. I feel so blessed that I have a great husband who’s a great father.

Our Mom's were raised in a different era , where once you got married your job became different it was centered around taking care of home and family My generation was divided. Some women worked other's didn't. Unfortunately for us that didn't work and decided to stay home and take care of the house and family was looked down on by the working women, personally I think they were jealous of us . I wasn't really taught anything about the Bible , we went church on holidays as a kid (Easter,Christmas , Thanksgiving, sometimes I would ride to church Ina bus )and that's how I raised my kids , that was the idea I had and was raised by . It was in my 30's that I started to try and understand the Bible , my idea and God's ideas didn't always agree at first 😞 . And over the years I've learned to listen better, I'm not perfect , just getting better daily 😊 I like that you have good priorities . Everyone needs to set some type of guide lines to follow and the Bible can give them some help here, and, there always something wise in that old book😉😉 At 66years and counting , I've made many boo-boos in my life. And it's only been 30 years that I've been walking and learning about Jesus and the funny thing is I've been learning and walking everyday with Jesus, it is an interesting walkabout through the Bible . It's not an orderly walk . Some times I find an interesting word or topic and I will look it up to better understand . And I always learn a new step . One day at a time and one step at a time 😊 Keep your video's coming

The Torah law requires a woman to study all the laws and concepts necessary to observe the commandments which she is obligated to fulfill. This encompasses a vast scope of knowledge, including the laws of Shabbat, keeping kosher and Family Purity, and many other areas of Jewish law. In the Torah, Sarah is shown as her husband's partner in life and his equal. In Jewish oral tradition, they are both considered to have been excellent teachers in their own right, with Sarah teaching the women and Abraham teaching the men. The Torah also recognizes four women, Sarah, Rebekah, Leah, and Rachel, as co - founders of Israel equal in stature to their more renowned husbands, respectively Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

I’m a Christian mom of four ( 24, 17, 13 and 11 ) married to an atheist who makes it very hard to teach my kids about the Lord. He has kept us from going to church for years makes me feel bad for reading and studying my Bible and has never wanted me to “shove religion down their throat”. He controls the atmosphere when we ride in the car and listens to A LOT of music that’s very explicit and he doesn’t care. When I say something about it he gets angry and the atmosphere gets even more tense. He constantly criticizes and then gets upset when he thinks everyone is “hating on him” because no one wants to be around him. I’ve tried family therapy and he won’t go. My kids have been affected by him the most. I can’t leave him because I can’t raise our kids on my own. I’ve been a stay at home mom for 17 years and any job I would be able to get wouldn’t pay us enough to live on even if he had to pay child support. He used to go to church with me years ago mainly because he was worried that I’d be flirting with other men or whatever. He thwarts my efforts to disciple our kids and it shows. None of my children show any type of anything that would indicate that they are Christians. I took my girls to a church we found a few weeks ago, but my husband wasn’t happy about it and they had nothing but complaints. I don’t know what to do.

I am enjoying watching and learning and love your enthusiasm for God's Word. Question: How do you organize your thoughts in your Bible so that you can find the references again when you need them?

Girl, don't listen to the judgemental folk! I find they usually are casting their guilt on someone else because they aren't living up to their expectations. As for the gal who wears the dresses to take care of animals, cook, clean, homeschool - it's just a dscision they made due to personal belief OR just for videoland. I'm a denim gal so I wear jeans either pants or skirts but sometimes linen skirts. (For a fun change.) You be you. We and God love you just the way you are. Hugs.
