Love your stuff. I'm presently running an Aspen Trail 2340BHSWE (west coast edition built in Oregon) I got at the very beginning of 2021 built in third quarter 2020. I KNEW exactly what I was getting into but got it BEFORE the RV market went berzerk later in 2021. So, I paid 23K with like a 3.2 interest rate (200 bucks a month) and made a thousand trade in on the 2018 17BH and a year later the same 2340 was going as high as low 40's in some places. But, I also knew that the quality wasn't going to be top notch, one because it was an Aspen Trail but two because the Covid quality issues were already showing up. So, got kind of lucky in that all the basics and appliances were and still are good in 2024. One of the first things I did after seeing your videos was go out and check the plumbing which fortunately had been done right. I did notice when buying that both the electrical and plumbing were "tidy" vs many other areas of build... But it was a general observation. Your expertise was very helpful. But it can be the luck of the draw on who installs your systems on a given day in some plants. It's interesting to see new 2340's going for not much more than I originally paid in early 2021 after almost doubling during Covid. I pity those Covid buyers...stuck so upside down they will never see the light of day... So, made it through the first summer then it spent the next winter on all the warranty work and in the end, all fixed except for the re-flooring needed as Dutchmen only would "fix" it. I settled as spring rushed closer... So now got a big V in it, well repaired but not new... So, I also put a road armor suspension on and Good year Endurance tires that I will say really do make a difference in a good way. So, now, after three years/summers of camping and 20K miles, I'm feeling good about what I'm pulling and content. Now starting a couple year process of finding the final retirement unit sticking with a TT, under thirty feet that checks her boxes. I think we are close. Much appreciate your stuff, subscribed...

Love this channel...keep up the great work and I will continue to recommend your channel to RV owners...I live a few miles from Elkhart, Indiana and the stuff they're putting out is pathetic at best. I believe I could build an RV with the items I see on the interstates around Elkhart from parts just falling off of these things...and the hotshotters are starting to dwindle because they can't even get these units on the road before something fails, unreal 🙄

Yes on the weight capacity video. Loaded all my toys up and headed to the CAT scales for verification. Stickers are great and all but the certified scales sealed the deal and provided peace of mind.

What are your thoughts on slide out skis? Specifically, the plastic style that go on each edge of the slide out. My perception is that they are designed more to provide a better drip edge than to protect the bottom of the slide. Thanks for all of your great info!

I replaced my faucet old moen with new moen to make it work added push on pex shut off valves with 3/8 compression I figured this way I can shut off water if needed

I've noticed some manufactures now offering "off grid" lithium - solar packages. Great idea I thought, however, very very pricey upgrade at this point. One manufacturer (Forest River) offers 400mah lithium batteries, 3000W Inverter/charger, 600W solar for 10k! Do you see this technology growing and becoming more economical? Just found your channel and find it very informative. My wife and I are in the market for our 2nd 5th wheel for our retirement road trips. We had a Heartland Big Country bunk house when our kids were young and loved it. I have been looking at Jayco Pinnacles, Keystone Montanas, and some other models but all of them seem to have issues and are all under the Thor Industries conglomerate. What are your thoughts on the Vanleigh Beacon (Tiffin) 5th wheel RV's - model 39GBB is the one we are interested in?

I have (I believe) a simple question (may even be a dumb one). On a simple small travel trailer (the one in question is a 2016 Jayco single axle), does the 4 LED light battery level indicator have standard voltage levels associated for each light, and if so, what are they?? I mean, if there is only one light lit, does it mean there is only 25% left in the battery in total, or 25% left till you are at 50% discharged (since 50% is considered discharged with a lead acid battery) Thank you, Chris

Advice about a “toy hauler”. 2017 Keystone Fuzion 414 with a “patio kit” installed by Keystone. Ear;y this year, the core of the door fell out of the frame while unloading a golf cart due to delaminating of the core from water intrusion from using the door as a “patio” in which Keystones words were, “the door isn’t designed to get wet on the inside. I cannot recommend a toy hauler to anyone. I now have a standard 5th.

I have a Northstar 8.5 Arrow truck camper. I've always used a single 12 V Interstate Deep Cycle RV Battery. Now ,,,, here's my question. In my Battery compartment i have 2 blacks and 2 whites. Black is Positive and white is Negative. All 4 wires came with eyelets for eady wingnut connections. Both blacks on Positive and both whites on Negative. Nobody,,, mean NOBODY,,, can tell me why i have a 4 wire connection for my battery. Do you have any idea ?? Thanks

Are there any remedies for Dometic Thermostat. My Air conditioner fan comes on for 15 20 seconds and goes off will do this a few times before the compresser kicks on and stays on. If I bump the temperature down it will stop cycling

I'm new to RV world, in doing some research, I came across a video stating not to run your refrigerator while traveling, this makes no sense to me since it's a travel trailer.

I guess asking an RV repair tech what is a quality RV is kind of backward. If an RV is high quality, the tech will not be repairing anything in that unit, right? So, just because you haven’t worked on could mean high quality, or the tech just has not been asked to work on a certain kind yet. One would never know, would they?
