Good explanation about how to use these adjectives. We use them sometimes without knowing a clear explanation. We just learned how to say or use them but with this i am more than sure. I love your videos. Blessings !!!!

Thank you for educating people about these 2 confused words. Your theory is make sense,based on what you said. " Tall '" needs contact with the ground. (or another base). " High " have no contact with the ground. But when we talk about high wall, high fence, high mountain. They have contact with the ground. Why we don't call tall wall, tall fence, tall mountain.It makes me confuse.

We wdnt say the painting is 1.7m high. if we were refering to the position of the painting Wed say The painting is 1.7m from the ground.or the distance between the painting and the floor is 1.7m If we were describing the size of the painting its self we wd say the painting is 80cm high . Its a square, a squat, a medium sized or a relatively small painting. Its not a tall painting because its about the same height as the width.

Not true. The painting will be 80cm tall and 80cms wide. The shape of the object doesn't influence the use of high and tall
