Hello and welcome to another day of #30DaysofHoya. Today we will take a look at Hoya ‘Jennifer’. This is a lovely hybrid with beautiful veining on the leaf. Need I say it’s one of my favorites? No? You probably guessed it. This is a very hardy Hoya and it has been extremely easy to grow. If you don’t know about it, make sure to watch the video and then get one! A painfully slow grower for me. In the year i've had it, it grew one leaf. And additional leaves are not expected. No vine as well. And i didn't purchase it as a cutting, it was a full established plant with a few leaves already.

It is pretty fast for me now! Try to treat it for mites. :) And give it more water + more light + warmth. :)

The leaf problem - I think it's suberisation. To much water + not enough light. Please check it, for me It's hard to see it clearly on a YT video :-)

Thank you. That is interesting to hear. I looked it up a bit further, as far as I can see this usually occurs on tree trunks and on roots. Can you please point me out to some articles that discuss suberisation in leaves? It also seems that there can be many different reason why this would occur (as in, doesn't always occur beacause of water) It would be very helpful to pinpoint exactly what it is :)
