I've always admired your serpens! She's such a show off ;) Great vid. I believe they like a nighttime temp drop and that will help with blooms. I wouldn't be surprised if she blooms for you later in the fall.

Mine is blooming now in may and it’s always been in a spot outside which is not so full of light, rather cold in winter but it’s quite humid.

Hello Josie, thank you for sharing your care tips on hoya serpens. You said your serpens loves high light. I had mine in high light and all the leaves turned chlorotic. They were a very pale yellow/green color. The plant is still super healthy but it has yellowish leaves that make it look ill. I've pulled it away from the high light and I'm waiting to see what happens. Any suggestions as to why this happened to my serpens??? Liz

Hi Liz, leaves usually get chlorotic if they're either too close to a light source or exposed to a light source for too long. Did you have it in a window or was it underneath a grow light? My one that lives in the cabinet gets 9 hrs of grow light light each day and the leaves seem fine if that's any indication but the grow light of course isn't as strong as direct sunlight.

I have Hoya Bella that toss soo many peduncles " Over achiever" Other corner sits Hoya Curtisii bushing like crazy " We do not have much real estate for you girl" Look at that baby Silver Sword that already evolved into young adult........... And now I stare at my Hoya Serpens that been same size, since I got her a year ago. " WHAT do U fuc*** WAAAant ?! .... Emotional DAMAGE!!!" Just stay away from Serpens they abuse...
