@@MichaelBeeny you’re lucky if you can still hear at 20khz! By the way if you can’t measure with one of your 5 senses doesn’t necessarily mean that it doesn’t exist if you can still reveal and measure it in another way.

Yes, I think mine obsession's with precision comes from my father who was a watch repairer, I used to watch him adjust a watch for best accuracy using a special machine which printed a graph of the error. Yes its a lovely counter and I was lucky to get it fairly cheap especially with the VHF/UHF option installed. You are right I do run everything of a gpsdo 10 MHz reference but Im a perfectionist and I wasn't happy with the OCXO that was in it, so I changed it for a better one which is superb on stability.

@@ptronix Yes I will have a look, I thought this my be some double oven OCXO or something as it didn't really drifted in those 2 years at all. I will have to hack my Pendulum CNT-90 as it comes with standard XO which is completely unstable in current state and form. Nice to see fellow time nut having fun :)

@@ptronix I did have a look at Co you've used and it's more than 120 second hand on fealbay, way too much for me, so I've bought Trimble 34310T fore more affordable £20

@@MartenElectric £120 that's way more than I paid! I think mine was about £25 but that was 2 & half years ago, trimble are good, they seem to be very well known & good quality, hope you like it
