This would be a perfect computer if it was Touchscreen.....would be nice to see a 15" Aero version also

@@Tribe_E100 just out of curiosity what makes a touch screen so good on this laptop? It’s doesn’t bend back far at all so it’s be inconvenient to use through touch plus I can’t see a reason where touch would come in handy where a mouse or touch pad wouldn’t

Costco just had this with 16gb, Ryzen 7 5800U, 512gb SSD and with backlit keyboard for $649.99! I couldn't resist. The Realtek wifi card SUCKS no matter which one you get. Just swap out the $h!tty Realtek card for an Intel WiFi 6E AX210NGW for $30. Too bad Andrew never did the promised upcoming full review of this laptop.

Thinkbooks have better build quality and all, and it's like second from the bottom in Lenovo's lineup. So I think pavilion compares with the IdeaPad series and thinkbooks must compare to envy series

This seems like a great alternative to a MacBook Air with being a similar form factor and weight to people who want something that's a similar price point but is running Windows out of the box, not to mention more I/O options- and the fact that there are a lot of great incremental upgrades that create a lot of customization. I'm very tempted by the new Macbook Air with the new M1 chips, but this is a great alternative-- especially if you can pile on some discounts to balance out some of those super tempting upgrades. I think it's a great machine for both office workers that have to bring their computer with them to work and elsewhere, and students who want a decent machine to get some work done but also do some light gaming at a price point that isn't going to break the bank.

Dang I was just about to order that HP Envy 17t you reviewed (for music production) when I saw this (My software “Reason “ now has a super zoom in function so this small screen could work. What do you think? Or maybe I’ll wait for you to review the new “Victus “.. “Reason “ is now in 4K though

For some reason my retailer does not sell a 16 gigs ram model, but sells a Ryzen 7 with 8 gigs ram. Should I wait if they release a 16 gigs ram or is this good enough?

That makes no sense that it performs worse not plugged in, kind of defeats the purpose of portable laptops. This needs to be addressed by AMD.

@@andrewmarcdavid I bought one anyways for my back to school laptop, I searched around a lot and this was the best value bang for your buck in my opinion and was able to get a 5% off coupon, after taxes amounted to 950 dollars for 5800u 16GB & 256GB. Figured if I needed more storage I can just upgrade. Great review!
