need information about the battery charging section in laptop’s doe’s the 14V -9V from the charging IC output’s to coil and for the battery pins only if the battery in ? what if SIO detect there is no battery at that point SIO will not give the enable signal to charging IC?

hi dear, i have almost the same issue with my HP Probook 450 G6. unfortunatly this suffered a liquid split (perfüme from my wife) on the keyboard. after good cleaning, he will not power on and the charger light will show quickly and the dissapeared after i plugged in. i performed some measurements to see if there is a short somewhere. the 19v rail is present and i even get the 3v on bios chip, 3v on EC, 1,8v for RAM and 5v for USB but the notebook will not power on. could this be mean that the CPU / GPU is shorted? thanks for the reply.

Hi i have the same notebook. When i plug in my power adapter the led light orange and after one hour the led turn off. After i press power on nothing happens no led codes or sounds. After replug the power on no led light is on. So what do you think is the problem? Same as you did?

Thanks for your comment,remove battery and CMOS Battery then check switching voltage.if problem not solved then you need to check all the required voltage.

Hi i have a probook 450 g4 without ram. Could you please tell me what happens when i start this probook without ram. Are there led codes or sound codes when this notebook starts without ram? I will not buy ram and then another thing is broken. Thx

Thanks for your comment, please open the battery and try with another charger,if not solved then open CMOS battery and try again,if problem not solved then take your laptop to your local laptop repair shop to repair your laptop.

Victor Hugo Arenas thanks for your comment, remove RAM then clean and reset again then try if same problem, then you need to open internal battery and then try with only charge.

@@Laptop_repair_zone Hi budy, I remove the internal battery and I connected directly to ac adapter and the laptop not turn on. I think the laptop have a problem with BIOS, did you know how I do for reset BIOS in the mainboard or repair the BIOS, the laptop not turn on and not show me nothing in the screen.

@@Laptop_repair_zone yes , but the problem is not resolved. I search in HP support website and I find the diagnostic, say it: "The main area (DXE) of BIOS has become corrupted and there is no recovery binary image available". I don´t know how I do for recover the BIOS with black screen.
