You should have turned off your laptop, removed the battery and power adapter before doing anything. Take it to a repair shop for proper diagnosis.

Until someone needs to retreive their data and are willing to pay a lot more money than just replacing a laptop.

@@Ghost572 good point. Nowadays I think people are using the cloud for backups since internet is affordable to more and more people. Eventually that recovery work will run dry too. Electronics is becoming just a hobby I do now. No money in it in my country sadly.

@@Swenser yeah you also make a good point about clouds for backups, the only thing that may not get backed up is sensitive/top secret data or people who don't trust the big tech companies to keep their data private, since that is becoming a seperate issue that some people are becoming more aware of. I imagine if cloud data backup was doing a full back up of every file then recovery wont be needed but there will always be stuff that doesn't get backed up immedate. I think you are right about it being country based also since where I am there are a lot of people who use technology but don't know much about it and wont even use a cloud to back everything up and even if it did they probaly wouldn't even be aware of it.
