Intense build with a great result. Seemed like you had to add lots of supplies/materials that the kit didn't provide. For a high end kit that was a let down. Same goes for the instructions' inconsistencies. Superb perseverance. Bill

You need a medal for your perseverance, Greg. The model itself is more complex (build wise) than the1/32 scale aircraft it's intended for. Terrific job all round and a beautiful final reveal.

I enjoy watching your videos, because to me you are a real old school modeller - in it' s best sense. The way you surpass problems with scratchbuilds, reminds me of those glory days of "Military Modelling" issues, where they gave you information and advice to all aspects of the hobby. Your videos are a little bit like that. The smell of Humbrol-enamels comes to my mind... one last pledge though - the Arado is a must now, thank you mate. Cheers Fedja

Nice build. have done the same kit, and I must say I didn't find anywhere near the issues you had. I will agree about the hand rails though. Mine has the Revell 1/32 Arado AR 196 float plane on it, and it looks great (I wish I could post a photo on here). I would note that HPH recommends weighting the base, and if you plan to put the aircraft on it, it is needed. HPH has a great range of unusual subjects, and I would encourage people to browse their catalog. Being multi media resin kits, they are not for beginners though, and they are not cheap either. My next build is their 1/32 Catalina cutaway kit, it's on my shelf waiting for me......

I scratch built one in 1/48 scale for my Arado. I didn't realise they were available as kits but I see that HPH do a 1/48 scale one also. However, at the price I think I would still have scratch built it for the cost of a little plasticard and wire. Still another good and interesting video

Just wondering what your thoughts are on the kit now you've finished it? While it's not insane money, it's not a cheap kit, so the extent of scratch building and making good required was surprising. Will you add the Arado to it or are you happy with it as is?
@GregsModels3 жыл бұрын
I'm personally happy with the end results, wouldn't want to build the kit again though. If HpH models brought out a catapult for an American or the Japanese floatplane I'd buy/build them because of the subject, interesting and different, even if they were to have similar issues. As for the Arado; maybe one day but not for the foreseeable future.

Hiya Greg, Great videos. Really well put together and delivered!! 👌 Have you built any other or know if they are worth it, HPH kits? I know they aren't your standard kits but do you reckon they ate worth the money? Interested in the C47 and the Catalina in 1/32 but an awful lot of £££££ what's your opinion please?? Regards and keep doing what you do 🙌
@GregsModels2 жыл бұрын
Thank you; It can be all about the detail and subject, especially in a great scale, HPH supply that. Yes the price tags are eye watering but that comes with beautifully detailed multimedia kits. I've always fancied the 1/32 Fw 189 and Me 410 myself, maybe someday.
@jamesrayner71592 жыл бұрын
@@GregsModels well that's kind of you to reply so swiftly. They look like interesting builds (quickly googled them). I'm not a rich guy but really like the kits I mentioned before and love the scale. Your skill and patience definitely completed one of the most problematic kits I have ever seen. I have not built a resin kit before and by the looks of the difficulty, doubt I'll ever try one, It is way above my skill set. The manufacturer should pay the modeler instead of the modeler buying the kit. The finished product, to me, was museum quality finish.
