As usual….. excellent content my friend…..as far as tires?? I just bought the Duratrax Belted six pack MTs for my E-Revo VXL 2.0 and I also bought a set of Duratrax belted street tires for the E-Revo for my on road bashing sessions …and I tell ya …. These tires are awesome….. no ballooning what so ever …. And the Revo handles better than any of the tires I’ve bought in the past ….again…. Great review man. The LST shocks were always hard to find. I had them on my first Cen CXT. I wanted them for my next CEN and it was a no go. Losi should just make those shocks as a mod part.

Great informative video. Problem is many of the links provided say discontinued or no stock or not available. This model has very few parts available now.

@yunusdesai2429 Thank you👍 HPI has since released a V2 version which most of the parts will work on this version BUT I totally agree even on that they can't keep the parts in stock.

@N C Price and how much HPI will go to improving on it will determine if I buy it. I wasn't impressed on the improvements on the new X especially at that price.

@@ReadySetRC just did 4 ideal bear-in tanks today,running smooth so far,will put on ground tomorrow and run around half throttle.Want to break it in easy,this this is awesome,already changed out the roller bearings for sealed ball bearings,and oiled the 3speed transmission inner parts,run smooth

Awesome review as usual! Those Kronos tires are sooo good. Did you end up installing the servo from the top, or from the bottom? I did the bottom, but doesn't seem like the easiest way.

Man there all expensive now like extra expensive here in oz, bout 2 months ago there was a price hike on every brand I’ll still pay tho because I love this hobby Current prices: Savage xl flux $850.00 2.0 ERevo $1230.00 6s outcast exb rtr $1250.00 Xmaxx $1800.00 Vxl 4x4 rustler $800.00 Big rock v3 $600.00, still good value imo Rustler xl-5 2wd $460.00😳 Hpi jumpshot mt flux $430.00 Kraton exb 1/8 roller $750.00 $1k is about a full weeks pay average wage Good tho as far as resale value goes Been some great used buys lately too, people new to the hobby that purchased during lockdowns and barely ran them. Scored the latest hpi jumpshot mt flux for $250-upgraded 8kg metal geared servo and one 2s battery as new condition Own two 2.0 ERevos which I’ll never sell, my absolute favourite rc followed by my outcast 6s & MT410 Cheers mate for the vid, the xl savage looks good, appreciate your channel, your efforts and your unbiased opinion 👍🏻

@Acepilot81441 I could put that in the queue to do. Only thing my Hyper MT Plus 2 is a ARR. I put my own electronics in there so the experience would be different if you were to buy the RTR or different electronics.

@@ReadySetRC seeing some of the stuff you had to do the the savage it would be an interesting perspective on getting a RTR and having to drop money into it vs getting an ARR and getting to pick where you spend your money.

I know its more expensive but you can buy the parts of the lst shocks still but you have to order the parts seperately like shock bodies are seperate from the other parts

@Rest In Pieces RC I saw that too but just could not justify the expense especially after the stocker have been good the way I drive. If I get tired of them, I do have a XXL2e and a 3XLe I could borrow them from but I really don't like doing that to my trucks.

I would compare arm and driveshaft lengths from the 3xle to the reeper, from what ive seen they shafts are basically the same

@@ReadySetRC fixes the leaking shock issue and we both know those shock shafts arent getting bent or broken lol, and if the springs aren't perfect theres still raven rc lst dual rate springs then its just oil weights

@canam1k If you can wait for the updated Savage XL I would suggest that. But there is a price hike. If you want a truck you do not need to do mods to in the beginning and can't wait for the new Savage XL go with the Outcast 6S.

@Northern Lights Rc On this one, it has all of the flaws from the older models. Not just the hexes and wheels. But once you get those minor things taken care of, you got a tank!

@Ready Set RC started with crawlers. Just looking at bashers and I liked this one the most. That being said I don't know anything about what's good or what to look for haha. If you have Tim care to fill me in on the weak points in case I pick one up I can make a list of " to look into " Tia Cheers

@@northernlightsrc8994 As long as you don't mind tinkering this truck is great. It's not one of those pull it out of the box and go RC's. Needs some tweaks out of the box. The newer version has a bulk of these issues resolved but the price tag is what shocked a lot of folks. List of things I did to mine, zip tie front and rear bumper supports, install a center diff, replace hubs to 17mm, replace servo, replace wheels and tires, install rear lock out on tie rod, install metal hubs and knuckles, install wheelie bar. I replaced the shocks with Innovation RC shock mounts and shocks but did not like the shocks so I went back to stock. That's all I remember now.

Never looked at HPI before can anyone tell me why this is way more 3xpensive than the Arrma 1/8th scale and even more expensive than the outcast 6s EXB RTR

@CMC RC To be honest there is no reason for the price hike. This was priced correctly when I purchased it and since the price hikes across the hobby HPI seemed to take it to the extreme. This version once you do all the improvements is a tank. I guess the best assessment is going to be at the end after bulletproofing both trucks from Arrma and HPI what is the cost in the end?

@Ready Set RC yesssir [ have about 6 savages & a few are baskets cases ,always a work in progress .I'm an amateur machinist & trying to hook up with a friend that can find time to use a 3.D printer . Tried a few parts & my problem has been the weight of the parts I've created. Because of the pandemic & shortage of the right material to use

Whats the diffrence between a open center diff compared to a lock center diff ? Please anyone I have not had a rc in over a decade haha

@savagex466 It's when the center diff is locked and all of the power is going to the front and rear diff. This prevents the front and rear drives from moving independently. Creates a common break on the Savage Flux (prior to the 2022 Savage XL Flux). An open center diff allows the front and rear diff to spin independently. Less breaks on the center diff and allows you to tune the drive of the truck by installing different weights of fluid in the center diff to change the performance of the truck. Most of the basher trucks built today do not have a locked center diff.

@@ReadySetRC Thanks for telling me about that. I want to get a rc but im torn on what to get ! Id like to get a HPI Savage XL Flux v2 ( the orange one ) or a ARRMA talion 6s EXB. I loved my old school nitro savage 4.6 it was a great truck ( this is over like 10 years for sure ) but id like to get a truggy then again the new savage XL is now longer and wider and also now has a center diff I think. What do you think is more durable stock ? There are soo many great cars / trucks these days would be so hard to pick one. What do you think is more tougher for bashing / jumping ? PS your so lucky to have these rigs haha

@@savagex466-qt1io Thanks friend. I can't speak on the Talion since I've never owned one. I know the Savage XL is a tank especially since HPI has addressed a lot of the issues. I have another RC you may want to check out. Much like the Savage and maybe a little tougher. Hobao Hyper MT Plus 2 or the MTX. I own the MT Plus 2 ARTR and that truck is a tank. Broke it for the first time after 10 packs in and it was only the steering knuckle. The MTX is the shorter wheelbase and latest offering from Hobao. If you are not familiar with Hobao, Ofna was the US distributor for some of their rigs.

@@ReadySetRC Thanks for explaining that to me. Good to know. Ya Id love a Talion. Iv never owned a truggy and If i ever made it to a track I guse i could race it in its class or whatever they do. Im a BIG HPI fan though so im still not 100 percent sure. I do love the HPI Vorza S Truggy but it does not come with a center chassis brace like the Arrma Talion or the Arrma Kraton. It also sits to low for me. Still a sic car with some tweeks.

@Wallys autobody I really LOVE IT when people comment with incorrect facts😆 1.I paid FULL price for it. 2.I bought this before the price hike at $629.99(there's even a text on the screen🤣) 3.In this video I stated it is overprice at the current price of $789.99.

@@SlickTrickRC Not sure I understand. I'm aware it does not have a center diff which is why I and most people install the RC4ME or the Alza Center diff. I agree not every RC is for every person but this one is for me which is why I still own it😊
