HPI SavageXS Running Video on 3S - Stock
Here's my first run of the HPI SavageXS Flux on 3S. Truck is all stock and I'm using a 4000mah 30C 11.1v battery.

1 proper tires (which ibhave seen on ur f.b. page looked like calibers??? 2.thicker shock oil 45-50 wt 3. faster servo and u will have a pretty mean mini basher on ur hands!!!!! awesome work as always😉👊

Vas, I've been a sub of yours for awhile now and I enjoy your videos. You've always been a good driver, but that was some seriously expert superb piloting there! I could feel the throttle like I was there driving it myself except I would of crashed a few times where I would've zig'ed when you zag'ed and you kept it rolling. Awesome sir! Thanks for sharing the fun! I am considering this truck now after watching you put it through it's paces.

Very tempted to get one of these as my first RC truck since I was a kid and had a tamiya hot shot. I know, not touched one in years. This truck looks awesome and so tough it can take a bashing from a newb.

Also putting proline powerstroke shocks really help the landings with that truck. It's the best improvement my brother did to his xs.

I sent mine in a week after I bought it and they still have it. Waiting on an ESC I guess. They've had it for about 5 or 6 weeks now. Looking forward to driving that little guy again.

SOmeone mentioned it will get hot if you don't change stuff to fit if using 3s? :) And stuff breaking more easily, not even from hitting stuff but just. Well with higher gearing. Lower gearing probably also give more grip? :)

looks like with 3s you might has well use drift tyres.. maybe a good thing otherwise too much grip will screw the drive train like diffs usually

I had horrible luck with mine... everytime i ran it on 3s it ended badly. burnt up the slipper clutch, numerous dogbones...

Aussie RC Playground bought the new vaughn gitting version, straight out of the box on 3s fried the esc within seconds.

I just bought my savage (same one as this). It keeps shutting down as if it a thermal ESC issue. Have you had any problems similar? What rating lipo do you use in yours?

I was actually using the 3S 4000mah 30 pack that came with the Cheetah. Can't say I've had any issues with it shutting down. Even my friend who has the older version doesn't have that issue. So not sure what's happening there...

Aussie RC Playground I sent my savage in and they told me they are replacing the ESC, drives shafts, steering servo, battery case and a few other small parts. It's cool they are taking care of it. Only issue I won't have it back till November. Also, had to send in my Arrma Kraton ESC. They said they only had to replace 15 of the new esc's so far. I just have had so crazy bad luck. I bought an XMaxx recently and a tire blew out and the rear diff did also. Traxxas is having me take pics of everything and they said they'd replace it as a "courtesy". So basically I bought 3 rc's and every one had issues. Lol
