why do you have to buy a new cartridge every 50 sheets? plus thermal paper? what is the point of this printer if it's not to save on repeat costs? UPDATE: according to multiple amazon answers you do not need to replace the cartridge. This includes an answer from the manufactuer. Can you kindly provide link (proof) to explain where the replace cartridge every 50 sheets number comes from? thanks

The print outs will fade away after some days or 2-3 weeks. Its same like the pay receipts you get from a card swiping machine or an atm receipt.

Image Life Once an image has been printed on thermal paper, the image will last at least seven years.
