Dont got enough resolution, memory , sound, and enough speed for compare, Amiga in 1992 launch AGA graphics and is too late, so think in 1990 launch a 8 bits machine with very low and obsolete hardware, its a fail. 160x200x16 colors is not Amiga level quality, but for a cpc level is good.

Yes, with proper support, it would have reigned supreme over the other 8-bits. Alas, like you pointed out, backwards compatibility was a detriment to its success.

c'est comme un CPC, avec des sprites hard un peu batards, une palette étendue et un peu d'aide aux scroll hard, le Z80 reste le même, peu véloce ;)

Because is launched to late in 1990 with cheap and obsolete hardware. Maybe with 1Mb Ram and a 16/32 bits processor with 8-10 Mhz, with a sampler sound chip, and launched in 1987 then Amstrad can do something. The bad choice of 3" disk is another fail.

@@Misel982001 I have had cpc 464, spectrum plus 2, c-128, Amiga 500. I can say good things about the cpc that came all in one, the bad thing is that the power supply was inside the monitor, but an adjusted price and 80 columns of text, if it had had blitter and hardware sprites in 1984, it would have been a great computer, but at that time and releasing it in 1990, it was clear that, it was not a success, but for those of us who collect a cpc+ it is worth a lot because few were sold. The demo is not bad but i see better demos on cpc+ with multiple parallax scrolls and other thngs

@@Misel982001 Yes very stronger, but nobody buy it, with the same 8 bits cpu and ram, and of course the same sound and graphics modes 160x200x16 320x200x4 and 640x200x2. A "great machine" from 1990 not 1984, remember. What is a stronger machine for you?, a quadcore 1Ghz for a pc today?. In computers the time is the matter, and cpc+ was launched very out of time, thats the fact.

Oui, le Plus est une machine qui souffre de plusieurs problèmes: - manque d'intérêt dès la sortie de la machine donc manque de référentiel des possibilités - pas de hardware spécifique pour l'exploiter -> Maintenant nous avons la C4CPC grâce à Gérald - dénigrement au sein même de la scène CPC qui n'est déjà pas bien grande Si ça peut motiver des gens extérieurs au CPC(+) ça ne sera qu'une bonne chose :)

Les démos/jeux sur des machines atypiques je trouve ça super, la gamme plus n'a effectivement jamais eu sa chance,c'est cool que vous la lui donniez, même 30 ans après ;-)

prends ton temps pour ne pas le payer trop cher en ce moment y a de l'inflation grave!

Un peu compliqué, y a un boitier d'acquisition qui fait de l'entrelacé 25 images/secondes à partir de la source progressive. Donc on passe du CPC 270p@50Hz -> 540i@25Hz Ensuite c'est chiant faut désentrelacé avec VirtualDub et un bon filtre pour pas que l'image danse en hauteur (à cause du coup des lignes paires et impaires), pis hier soir j'ai eu le souci que lors du doublement du framerate de 25 à 50, je perde la dernière moitié de la vidéo. Il a fallu gruger le logiciel pour qu'il continue à décoder plus loin. Bref c'est pas extra mais ça fonctionne au final :)
