The SV4 is still the winner even though it was not the brightest but it had the best pattern. Notice the “cut off” and reduced “spill” of light above it. It’s also the closest to emulating the stock pattern. To use the other lamps you are that “A” hole that wreaks oncoming traffic’s vision. Projector type lenses respond the best to the conversion, but every headlamp design is different. Some are lousy to begin with and adding a upgraded lamp just makes it a lot worse and may be inviting a well deserved ticket. Check your pattern before and after than if it’s acceptable make sure your vertical adjustment is correct because it’s not unusual for an LED to raise it. On level ground with a full fuel tank, your beam should be continuously be descending.

Assuming similar pricing for all, I'm gonna have to choose the SV4, I just prefer the brightness/excellent cutoff in reflector lens combination.

My guess is these LED lights are all made in same or related OEMs in China. They’re all better than halogen. For me the main concern is not so much the brightness- they’re all pretty close - but the compatibility with your specific vehicle. Car computers get confused, triggering error codes and requiring Can bus modifications. But if you know what you’re doing, LEDs are an amazing improvement over halogen. Makes you wonder how we got along with those dimly lit bulbs for so long.

I have the S-V4 on my ‘19 F150. Very happy with the brightness and pattern. I would highly recommend from my install experience, take the wheels off if you have the ability to do so.

I have putco nitro lux in my 2016 f350. They are way brighter than stock. I did a side by side comparison on a 2015 f350. The difference was very noticeable. next go around i will try one of LEDs you suggest but i am really happy with Putco.

I'd like to see your recommended *passive* cooling bulb. Both your recommended GTR and previously recommended S-V4 bulbs require fans for active cooling, and anyone with a computer can tell you it's only a matter of time before those fans fail, then bye-bye bulb, where half the point of an LED bulb is supposed to be its longevity.

One other thing, I think y'all may have mistakenly listed the same lux of the S-V.4s as you listed for the GTR Ultra 2s, 1140 lux, yet the Ultra 2s are claimed to be 417% brighter vs 307%.

POSSIBLE TEST THE ALPHA REX NOVA SERIES AND THE CHEAPER PRO SERIES WITH SOME DIFFERENT BULBS SO GET THE BEST LIGHT OUTPUT LIKE YOU DID THIS VIDEO.

You guys have tested the entry level hikari in another video. I’m running the hikari ultra bulbs and have been really happy with them. I would like to see how they compare to these bulbs! If they’re better, I will upgrade to the winning bulbs on all my cars!

Interesting...when looking at the sv.4 for my 2020 F150, there's now a disclaimer box on the website that needs to be checked. Seems the H11 low beams and the 9005 high beams aren't available unless you check the box that basically states "I'm not using these on the street". To be fair, this isn't a knock on the vendor. It sounds like they're just covering some legal bases, as vehicle lighting is a big part of safety inspection in many States, and is often highly regulated. To be perfectly honest, if these LED headlights are fully functional, but are so bright they push the legal limits, these are the headlights I want.

How is 1140 Lux from the Ultra 2 a 417% increase over stock , while the same Lux (1140) from the SV-4 only a 317% increase.

How is the fitment of the sv-4 on the 2020 F150's? I'm looking to upgrade from stock, but I'm extremely critical of any aftermarket parts I install on my truck. I don't do "it works ok, except..". It has to be 100 percent plug and play, with no other permanent modifications, or interference with other factory components. The sv-4's carry a substantial price tag, but the price isn't really an issue if the quality is legit. Do the dust covers for the high and low beams re-install without any interference issues? Any known radio interference issues? The sv-4's seem like the go to for the F150, but I'd like to know if the fitment and performance is 100% legit.

Try the AUXITO Y13 and M3 series bulbs

At 7:16 it shows the box attached to the light also enclosed with the light housing with the dust cover then put back on. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the box attached had to be on the outside? Tia

LEDs produce a ton of heat. Wouldn't there be a high heat buildup inside of those housings with the fan crammed up against the dust cover that tight?

Please test the new Auxbeam F-16 plus H11 in the 2018 F-150 stock housing. I installed them in my 2018 and I keep getting flashed like I have my high beams on and they do seam to run much higher then the stock halogen bulbs. they are substantially brighter then stock and replaced my old Auxbeams which the drivers side burned out after 11 months. Thanks !

The GTR website states that these LED lights are not DOT approved and are illegal to run in licensed vehicles that run halogen lights. Can you clear this up? I would really like to have more light driving out west on those dark state roads. Your test are very helpful in making an informed choice!

Please make a video replacing the high beams. They have that metal grooved "washer" instead of the turn & lock style for the low beams. I cannot find any led high beams that work with that "washer". I'm driving around with stupid ugly yellow halogens because of this.

It’s also illegal across the us to install in halogen housings. If the vehicle housings were led from the factory then yes but to retrofit them on a vehicle that’s not off-road only is not for compliant and illegal. Look it up before you comeback at me. It’s almost 99% beam scattering and blinding to traffic cause they scatter the beam! And no one adjusts the better ones to not blind as much to but illegal is illegal and should not be promoted as a thing to do. Oh and dot laws are United States laws nationally not state specific so it’s nation wide illegal

Hey guys, this test only shows a headlight outside of a car. I've been through many on my 2012 Ford, and this test doesn't show how it will react with your cars CanBus system. Will you lose Drl's Will it shutoff after a few seconds? Will it throw faults, and will it stay on while switching between modes? I haven't found one yet that runs like factory.

I place I do business with recommends the Bright source LED kit. Looking on line it has some crazy wiring kit that connects to your battery with some anti flicker kit. Seems way to complicated and sloppy, any idea on these kits?
