Speaking of Germany, Lukas Podolski was also born in Poland but played for Germany. Jermaine Jones was born in Germany. However, Löw had no intentions of including him in the German national team so he switched to USA instead. Though he does have caps for Germany at youth level, I believe. Erling Haaland is probably the most famous example of this today as he was born in England but decided to play for Norway. What a Chad. Eusebio was born in Mozambique but as we all know played for Portugal instead. Along with Pepe who was born in Brazil but like Eusebio, chose to rep Portugal. Raheem Sterling was born in Jamaica but decided to play for England. Finally, Matty Cash. Decided to choose roots over the country of birth as well. He represents Poland on a national level over England.
