another Dominique position update, its over the grand union canal with the section connecting one side to the other, its off on its new adventure over the last lake on its final journey to disassembly or death, its enjoying life so far gods speed..

Thank you for your enthusiasm and efforts in bringing us this latest update on the progress of Domenique. Deeply saddened that the government cancelled the northern parts. Perhaps it will be revived by a future PM. Looking forward to the next clip as it leaves the lakes and goes uphill.

thanks, its great that there's a few of us stephenwalker, cuemaster, peter the rock and myself documenting the progress of the colne valley, it's such a massive project and would be a shame if no one could see the engineering/construction/logistics of this behemoth.

Oh wow, Dominic has had a good week since moving on Tuesday, and is now ready to move forward again to the next V shape pier, a lovely view thanks.....

thanks, yes its picking up speed now, no snagging issues so far , they did have some issue with cable tensioning a few weeks ago but all is good and she's sailing over calm water now

No Ozrics? No Tangerine Dream, dear? Well done for being there at the right time to capture this historic moment. Note the black strip in the centre of the span which is there to protect the 'grout', ie more concrete, that they use to fill the gap. I'm guessing each central gap must be in the region of 24-36 inches and I've no idea how they do it. Still, some mysteries are best left unsolved, right? Keep 'em coming.

thank you , will have music on the next video of copthall tunnel, " the vent holes of copthall" going in close to have a nose at the vent holes and moving wall, looks like they have almost finished the first vent hole and there massive big woooosh when the train pops inside. I was going to film today the join where the black strip wraps around and some closer views to uncover the mysteries of dominique, but really windy, poor little drone was flapping its little plastic wings at full speed...hopefully less windy in days to come, amen

HS2 will endure for 100 years. Hopefully helpful and can expand when possible North, West, and East.

@@Carlos-im3hn:- Politicians are SO shortsighted. None of them AND I mean NONE of them take the long view. If they had kept the Great Central Railway open, none of this environmental vandalism would need to take place. Off shoots from the GCW could have easily been built to Birmingham and up the Manchester at a fraction of the cost. And that is just the saving in money, if you look at what they have done here in Nottingham, what the Victoria station was and the eye sore that was built in its place, well, it makes one wonder.

@@mikeybabes7527 I think they are slowing electrification of the entire UK rail line until the new nuclear Xe-100s (40 total) get installed by ~2036 ? The new nuclear reactors (80 MWe each, 4 per new plant) will provide total 3.2 GWe across UK...and then they can expand the electric rail lines. These nuclear will probably cost 60 billion....so it was HS2 Phas2a and 2b, or the new nuclear....they went with the X-Energy nuclear.
