I would like to say thank you David, i had trouble setting up Vlans on an Aruba 2530m switch in my own home lab i was setting up, and i watched a whole series of your older videos on HP Aruba switching from initial configuration to a fully working topology, it helped me a great deal in understanding networking and its fundamentals and not only that i got my setup up and running, your wealth of knowledge is fantastic and keep up the great work!

Great video David. Never seen track on line-protocol, one reason I love your content as a professional I still learn something new. We typically use IP SLA with our track statements to follow upstream gateway reachability.

@@DavidBombalTech How to setup L3 SW or router as DHCP server as well as using HSRP with other router or SW? Which SW will reply DHCP if both are serving as DHCP?

what will be your advice, having two routers connecting two ISPs and configuring HSRP or having one router with 2 WAN interfaces connecting two ISP?

Hi agbe. I think it really depends on the physical location of your equipment - Are both routers physical located at the same place, as well as both ISP's? If so, you properly would make 1 connection from ISP1 + ISP2 to Router1 and do the same with Router2, for the full redundancy. There are multiple ways to this. Maybe David would have some time to answer this as well, but it really depends on your setup - You are welcome to reply back with more information. Hope this helps.

@@nicolaithune Thanks for your quick response. I really appreciate that. I am asking for the best recommendation on which setup is ideal, having two routers or having one router with multiple wan interfaces for higher availability

@@agbefii8453 The answer would always be 2 routers, since you got a single point of failure in only one router. Edit: Ideally 2 routers and 2 ISP's for the highest possible redundancy. If you have 2 routers, but only 1 ISP it kinda makes the same as 1 router and 2 ISP's. I hope this answers your question.
