cool and classy? haha varane can be happy that he is playing with butcher .. more aggresive , better on the ball , cooler .. only thing why varane is ok next to martinez is that he is taller 😂 yet i dont know if varane won sooo soo much more areals then martinez .. if you watch games you know that butcer more or less somehow always wins long balls .. fair play 👏🏼🙌🏼

@@urosbodanec6302 Uh so what exactly is your point? The same can be said that Martinez can be happy playing with Varane.. Varane covers areas where Martinez is lacking, and vice-versa.. They complement each other. And stats do show Varane wins double the aerial balls compared to Martinez i.e. 18 versus 9.

Can`t think of a more effective center half in the country at the moment. The man has everything, breks up attacks, starts attacks and don`t even get me started on his tackling and positioning. He is a beast.

People talk about him being a 'butcher', but it is really his football brain what makes him such a standout. He is always in the right place at the right time, his positioning is excellent, and he is athletic and composed on the ball with a great pass range. When you see a defender that gets hit by the ball so often, it's because he always covers the angles perfectly. His influence on the team is immense.

This is the second time to make the following comments on Lisandro Martinez What a player ............modern /retro . As assured as Martin Buchan , tackles like Roy Keane and the bonus his passing especially long passes are David Beckham like .................contrary to reports he is very good in the air . Height stats make very interesting reading . Martin Buchan 1.78 m , Daniel Passsrella 1.73 m and Lisandro Martinez 1.75 m . Lisandro's last ditch tackel for Argentina versus Australia saved the day and sums the man up . We have seen many more incredible tackles and interceptions , may it continue for many seasons .....and yes that little smile of his is a great addition to the team and overall morale . SUPER RED .
