Russia launched a massive missile attack on Kharkiv while its forces continued to press an offensive against Ukrainian troops in the eastern region on the ground. Ukrainian authorities said that 15 S-300 missiles were fired by Russia, which destroyed infrastructure and a printing factory. At least 6 people have been killed in the attack and over 16 have been injured. Watch for more details.

Why would Russia use an SAM to attack ground targets????????? The S-300 (NATO reporting name SA-10 Grumble) is a series of long-range surface-to-air missile systems developed by the former Soviet Union. It was produced by NPO Almaz for the Soviet Air Defense Forces to defend against air raids and cruise missiles. The S-300 is still regarded as one of the most potent anti-aircraft missile systems in active use.
