I was so touched when Sasha the Kyrgyzstan guy stood to receive his national dish. Watching his eyes during serving sent a bit of a chill through me if I'm honest. I'd buy him a beer anytime.

The reason why the escalator for the Russian metro system is so long is because the metro system was built to double as a bomb shelter.

I really hate how Sasha is looking around as if he doesn't belong there and doesn't add to the dynamic. Glad you guys did your part to try to make him realize that he's respected and appreciated as an equal.

As a russian-kyrgizian i love our food. I'm so blessed that my mother serves me plov, beshbarmak or borsch like everyday. Best food in the world. (Y)

Zamir is to Anthony Bourdain as Guillermo is to Jimmy Kimmel. Love both of them. Best episodes on no reservations is the ones with Zamir in em! Expect lots of vodka and funny punch lines.
