Anyway, my Audeze and Shure SE846 headphones don't have USB C and I won't carry a dongle for that. Also I don't need bigger screen at a lower PPI and extra 2X zoom after I spent over $5k on a DSLR Camera kit! ;) So, enjoy your cheaper usb c headphones!

If you need headphone jack and no problems without wireless charging then you can go for the P30 and if you like taking photos and more photos need the best camera in depth and zoom and yes the P30 Pro is for you 😁😁

I'd rather the P30 over the P30 pro. Its got a headphone jack which I use on my P10 ALL the time, and I don't use/care about wireless charging at all. Also probs never gonna use 50x any time soon and the cameras are still great on the regular P30. That being said, my P10 is still as fast (if not faster) as to when I first got it, so gonna keep it til the end of the year before deciding to switch

P30 for 2 reasons 1. I'm a original guy 2. As long as both charges whether wire or wireless I'm safe with that and as long as you got a headphone jack you are perfect and you don't need anything

I like to play mobile games quite often than I do console because of it's mobility and flexibility...not having the audio jack will force me to buy wireless earpieces which are famous for it's high latency sound output and I just don't want that. and to charge it even more annoying....I like to have lesser devices that needed to be charged rather than adding more so definitely will go for the standard P30.

I might check out the P30 model. I don't use wireless charging and am not a fan of wireless headphones at the moment. I'm just glad that there are models that suit different features people may be looking for rather than just adding or removing a camera. Still waiting to see if LG can make a splash this year maybe not the G8 but at least the V50!!!

Since they have a lot of similarities, I would be more interested in the Pro ver since it has more tech on it.

The HUAWEI P30 Pro comes with a headphone with USB-C connector and a 3.5mm to USB-C headphone adapter in the box to make up for having no headphone jack. So you can still use wired headphones, earbuds or Bluetooth. Knowing this, the Pro takes an automatic win for me! :)

Hey thanks for this, quick question how's the P30(not pro) in recording at live events , concerts , clubs, loud environments. I have the OnePlus3t but it's mic is horrible as the sound output comes out distorted and sounds like a speaker that's just too loud

You are great in reviewing. I love the Pro because of the camera, but I can still go for that P30 and I don't need head jac since I have a Bluetooth headset. I hope to save enought to be able to buy it soon.

Headphone jack and compact size are enough to make me avoid the Pro. Cost saving is a nice bonus.

The main difference isn't the wireless charger. It's the 5x optic zoom vs 3x optic zoom, and curved edged display vs flat display (which you forget to mention). And btw, I much doubt the P30 have the same periscope len as P30Pro. It's likely the same as Mate20 and to do 3x with the tele-len. The 2x zoom isn't purely otpical, more likely a backward "hybrid" from the 3x tele-cam and the main cam.

I just switched over from a Galaxy 8+ today to a P30 and after 10 hours of regular life with it I feel like it was a smoothe transition. Lots of cool options. Fast and beautiful screen. Camera is much better.....by a long shot. I was going to get the P30 pro but I only wanted it for size really and that it was the " better phone " and it does have wireless capability but no headphone jack...i primary use wireless Jaybirds but I also forget to charge them often and therefore found have the headphone jack was move important than a bit of size and wireless charging. 10 hours after purchase I have no regrets!

As for wireless charging feature, you would have to pay additionally for the charging unit as well. Also, the speed of the wireless charging should not be as fast compared with the power brick. I am not a big fan of curve edge display. The missing of headphone jack. So, I will go for P30.
