Depends on what region the device is. Different carriers may name it differently. This one says P40 lite on the box but its the same phone with a different name in a different country :). I will update the title to add the different name variant.

Here in Philippines its name is Nova 7i

In Pakistan it is Nova 7i but when i contacted PTA to check approval. PTA(Pakistan telecommunications authority ) USE both names for my Phones EMI (Huawei Nova 7i, Huawei P40 lite)

If you are referring to the outer glass lens cover for the camera, yes it's held down with adhesive and you can heat it up and pry it off without having to take the phone apart.

Sometimes they sell just the glass lens cover that's held on with adhesive so you can pry the old one off and apply the new, but sometimes they sell it with the boarder so you might need to take the backplate off to remove the lens with the lens housing/boarder. Depends on what part your able to find online.

There are gaskets around the charger port and headphone jack, as well as a a rubber seal or something similar outlining the inside of the sim port. The speaker has a filter but not sure if its water resistant or not. I would assume this is splash proof based off these facts but not sure to what extent.

As a person who has almost lost this device because of water, I would say no, the water enters surprisingly easy and the rice repair isn't that useful, but if you open the device you can find and dry the water under the battery and the motherboard, most components like motherboard, speaker, charger port, jack, are more likely to survive with no damage(depends of the exposure of course, in my case a bucket full of water and in 2 seconds I took the phone out) but I would recommend to change the screen, it may work but you can definitely notice the damage, no dead pixels in my case but some of theme with much less bright than before

Thanks. I don't remember exactly which version model this was since it was a long time ago but the memory configuration wont really have a different internal design. Would be the same size chip just more capacity in place of another one.

Yes you would be able to swap motherboards of the same model but keep in mind your data is stored on the onboard storage of the motherboard so if you plan on moving data over you would need to backup your data from your previous motherboard.

I would put the motherboard and batery back in the phone in that case

not sure which antenna is for the 4g but the antennas on this phone are mainly part of the frame itself. The parts you see gold contacts where the main board and other parts make contact with on the frame, those would be antenna contacts.

There are different market/region versions for different carriers which support a different variety of bands. You technically can flash a radio/firmware from a different carrier software onto the phone if someone has reverse flashed the radios on them but again not too sure about compatibility issues and what not. Been out of the flashing firmware game for a while now but from what I remember would require the phone to be rooted and or bootloader unlocked. I don't remember there being an easy way to just unlock it, its software/firmware embedded. Also if there are different types of antennas hardware wise in the phone, there may be compatibility issues if its not all universally the same antenna hardware from what I can recall.

Hi sorry for the late reply. Its adhesive not super glue that is used. Its a stronger form of double sided tape. They usually include the pre cut adhesive with replacement back plates or just by itself in most cases, so once you pry the old one off you can re apply new adhesive strips to put it back on. But ya I liked how it was in the old days with screws and so forth, much easier but less secure against water/dust getting in.
