I ran 3.7 Miles with my gt2 today and I went out at 96 percent battery . I played music for 35 minutes running from the watch on ear Budds and I had gps on and I came back at 92 percent battery . Excellent watch

I'm not overly keen on smart watches but I do like the design on that one.. Great review as always!

I've used the GT2 for 12 months now and I cannot find fault in it. Yes there were issues early on with limited watch faces being available but that's now more than resolved. It performs well, it's comfortable, 12-14 day battery life without fail.

Really looking forward to the full review. No only real downside of this device (same as other huawei watches) is the inability of replying to notifications. That is literally the only thing that has stopped me from getting one so far. I currently have a fitbit and would love to switch but I reply to notifications constantly on my watch

Pretty much all I'd want is on the GT2. Saving 130 quid. Yes, titanium is nice but I don't ski or golf and can do without Qi charging, it's a nice to have, not essential.

Cant justify change from GT2 to PRO, but saphire/titanium body is great! Also seen some harmonyOS demo vids and I hope upgrage is coming soon as it makes gui super smooth.

I just purchased the GT2 and love it. Personally for me i dont think the little extra's is worth the extra $$ and the fact i actually love the design of the GT2's sportier look in black, very very similar look to the GW3 which i was tossing between. In the end the battery life did it for me in comparison the the HUGE price diff and one day battery of the GW3, plus i have the GW 46 mm which i think is better battery wise that the 3. 24 hours in im loving my GT2 ;-) Ty for your video's very informative and if i may add it was your review that prompted my to get the GT 2 so Cheers :-)

Love the charging dock with the USB port instead of cable. Why aren't other companies doing the same? You can use it with your own USB cables and its much easier to store or hide

I own a Huawei GT 2 46mm smartwatch for a month now. It's great watch. It looks nice, very functional and the battery is great. I understand that the secret of the battery is the economical processor and only the basic smart features. There is no WIFI, NFC or option for installing additional apps. But that's why we got a good battery life in return, and I'm very satisfied with that trade. There are two things that bother me. And both are a software problem. So, it would be great if Huawei would solve that in software ugrades. It seems to me that these problems are also present in GT2 pro. 1. First problem is small one. Limited number of contacts to 10? The minimum should be 25 or 30. 2. Inability to respond to whatsapp, viber and facebook messager notifications. It would be enough to have few predefined text messages and smileys. And there should be the option to record a voice message as answer. Because watch has a microphone already. It would rarely be used anyway, and would not affect to the battery life.

You got to mention Qi Wireless charging on the Pro model. That's one of the biggest differences from GT2

I was hoping the pro would be a heavy hitter to challenge the galaxy watch 3. Guess not. I'm using the gt 2 46 mm. The pro is just a slight upgrade but nothing major changes in terms of software or big capabilities. It's like my gt 2 changing into a new suit🤔😊 One big change now it's able to do wireless and that's all I grasp the rest it's either don't appeal to my daily usage. Hopefully battery life is better. My gt2 can take heavy usage close to a week without charge and it's already a year old.

The problem for Huawei is these premium type watches need to have an added value against their cheaper fitness watches, like Watch Fit. If you don't have Wear OS or can't install common apps then you're basically selling a fitness watch. In this case you may as well just buy the Watch Fit at just over 1/3 of the price.

Actually if you buy the midnight black you get the silicone black belt and if you buy the nebula gray you get the leather belt. There aren't 2 belts in the package !

Huawei GT2 Pro - Problems with Apps software essential for pairing and set-up. I have been FORCED to return the Huawei GT2 Pro! Why do you not comment on the App software issues?! The watch APPEARS, from reviews, to be good, but no reviewers (that I can find) talk of the pairing issues. Before the watch can be used it must be paired to a phone. Pairing is not possible using standard Smartphone Bluetooth pairing. The Huawei Health App MUST be used. Version 10.1.1.312 of the Health App, commonly available, does not have the GT2 Pro listed and will not work. This App invites you to update the product list but when you try, it tells you there is no network connection (WRONG). Research tells me there are up-to-date versions of the Health App, but these are only available via the Huawei AppGallery. I tried downloading AppGallery to Pixel 3a and Samsung S7 but both say "This type of file can damage your device". Unable to obtain the software needed to pair the watch to a phone and therefore unable to set-up and use the watch. USELESS!

Those bezels are huuuuge on the pro. They do hide them well with the clock like ticks around the outside.

my mother wants a smart watch so I bought her this one for the upcoming birthday. And I gotta say I was not a smart watch dude until I started doing some research on the new watches and the GT2 pro with the battery life of 7 - 10 days with always on display on makes me wanna get one for myself to but I am gonna do that after my mothers birthday she might get suspicious if I show up wearing a smart watch when I have been the anti all these years :)

Looks and acts the part. But during the the short time yl it took you to day that the heart rate sensor is more accurate it jumped between 60->90->70 bpm. I mean, maybe it's reasonable that it can't tell right away, but it sure didn't feel reassuring. I would love to get a good reason to not pay a premium for a Garmin with half of that smart-feel but I would need to be able to trust the fitness functions.. What's your thoughts guys ?

I have a Huawei GT 2. The problem with it is very accurate measurement of my heart rate when I am very sweaty. Have therefore gone back to Fitbit Charge 3 which has very accurate measurement, even when I am very sweaty. A heart rate monitor that does not measure the most important thing accurately enough is basically of little value. Hope this new one is improved on the important point.

GT2 is a great smartwatch in just about every which way, however it's rather irritating that one can't reply to msg's at all even with simple emojis. Loudspeaker is very loud and clear as well, however it's hugely irritating that once in a workout mode, any mode, the notifications stop showing up on the screen, period, so when out and about hiking and sweating, one has to reach for the old phone to see the actual text/email or whatever. I often keep my phone in a plastic protective sleeve to keep the sweat or light rain at bay, so it's really a pain to dig it out when a notification vibration tells me somebody's trying to reach me, so that often stops me from using the work-out features if I'm expecting a somewhat important msg to arrive while out and about, but that really defeats the whole smartwatch idea, doesn't it? I'd presume Huawei could easily add an overlay feature or a super-imposed screen to show up on top of any program one currently might be using, but for now it ain't there. Maybe it's on this new PRO version...???
