My father has this old model phone. Nokia 66 something. Fortunately, they still sell these because he can't use a smartphone. I remember that my first phone was a 3510i. I was in the 3rd grade then, so I was probably 9-10 years old. I remember when you could download ringtones from some magazines. Or buy it somehow. If someone remembers better how that system worked, please tell me 😁

I wouldn't mind an old Sony Ericsson mobile (W595 Slide) & I also seem to remember 1 that kind of swivelled in half rather than flipped. Both were bright orange. And so delightfully small! Mind you I always secretly envied my mates' Motorola Razr!

Man, when I went to college in 1998, everyone was rocking a Nokia. Wanting to be different, I bought a Blue Sony Ericcson that would flip open at the bottom to be different. Like you said maybe use this as a burner phone and it hits me nostalgic wise, but I am trying to imagine it as my primary device, and I assume it would be FRUSTRATING. Going from the Note 10 Pro to the Note 11 Pro Plus was the most awful "upgrade" I've ever done. Laggy POS. I don't trust Xiaomi anymore. They are cashing out by putting crappier internals in. I'm sure of it. But I loathe to go back to Samsung... Edit: HyperOS fixed nothing 😢

What about lens fogging on Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the rest? Make a word for it and go on...but it ain't funny or useful.

It will be less than 10 years before we see custom home built phones being used widely, the stock options available are becoming more and more awfull, the components needed are becoming more modular, cheaper and easier to install.

SD card expansion & 3.5mm headphone jack. This phone is more appealing to me than a Samsung S24.
